I was born in Chicago but left for the west coast before I was old enough to have a say in the matter, or remember. My parents are from the more historical parts of Los Angeles but decided to raise me in the wine country. I thank them for that frequently. Most people would say that I have Midwest values, which is not a bad thing.

I consider myself to be a fairly laid back, but active, go with the flow kind of guy. I enjoy the outdoors, exercise, cooking, finding new bars and restaurants and I am always excited when I can take a local drive or short road trip here in beautiful NorCal. I am starting to make up for my limited travel experiences this year with a trip to Italy in September. Ice hockey is my favorite sport but I am also a Giant's fan and enjoy soccer on TV.

As far as this online dating thing goes, it's been kinda weird but mostly good. I have found that in my line of work, it's necessary to get out of the circle of people that I spend so much time with (and to never, ever date a coworker, learned that one long ago) and see who else is out there. Balance is good. I would love to make some friends in the rest of the bay area and see where things take me.

I work for an amazing, locally founded air ambulance company as a flight paramedic on a helicopter. The work is rewarding in many ways and the views are spectacular. The hours can be long but the schedule is ridiculously flexible and I am working towards having more days off than I do now.

...making people laugh, at me or with me. I am also pretty good at remaining calm under pressure (yes it's true, my inability to spin out of control with others involved in a situation has had me labeled as uncooperative) and lightening the mood with a well timed, if not sometimes inappropriate joke. I know my way around a kitchen, a wine list and a drinks menu.

That I am not likely to go bald anytime soon.

Music: Alt rock, Jazz, Blues, Classic Rock, Classical.
Shows: Homeland, Southland, VICE, Parts Unknown, BBC World News, Hockey Night in Canada.
Food and Drink: Pretty much anything prepared with passion, doesn't need to be fancy, just good! Wine, mostly red, bourbon, cocktails and quality beer.

My backpacking trip in August and Roman Holiday in September. Going back to school. RIGHT NOW: My run in the morning. Will I get to sleep tonight at work?

Of late, work has been occupying my Fridays all to frequently. Otherwise, I am out with friends or having an early night in so I can enjoy Saturday.

Sometimes, when I am driving up Highway 1 North of Jenner, where the cattle graze freely, I will lower my window and say hello to them.....I think they appreciate it.
