I'm going to school in Chicago right now. I spend a lot of my time working on my poly-sci degree (I'll be graduating next year), I live off campus now in an apartment in the outskirts of Chicago. I tried living in the dorms, it wasn't really my thing, I value more privacy and the choice of roommates.

I chose political science because the inner workings of the American political system has always been an interest of mine and I strive to understand it. I aspire to cover politics someday. I work now to pay my bills at a modelling agency.

My father is the only family I have and we're close. He's the foundation of my life. I value family and people with family oriented values.

I'm lucky to have my friends. They know when to look out for me and when to be there when things fall apart. I try to avoid any type of relationship where I can't trust and depend on the other person, whether it be a friend, or a partner.

Most people would say that I'm basically a happy person and I agree. I try to change what I can and accept that the rest is out of my hands. I believe that I'm only getting one chance at life, I don't want to be bitter, I'm working on enjoying it. I'm looking for someone who is as well.

I like the city but I also like the country. I have the very common dream of owning some land somewhere far from the closest city, somewhere with a wooded area and a large field, going out for a private run at 5 A.M. The novelty would probably wear off in a few days, but for now, it's on my list! I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't take a stroll off the loop and pick up some chinese food and then head for the bus to school though. I'll figure it out.

Well, I mentioned that I'm going to school and working. I also have my dreams. I'm spending some of this time dreaming of travelling. That's a real passion of mine, going places I've never been before.

Staying cool under pressure and taking control when the situation calls for it. I actually like to listen, I'm a very curious person, I like people who have a lot to say. I'll ask the right questions.

I have an easy going demeanor, generally. I'm usually smirking or smiling, life can be pretty amusing.

I like a variety of books, movies, music, and food too! I'm not much for books involving mysteries, I'm too impatient and I usually have to cheat and see how it happened before I finish the book. I really like books by Neil deGrasse Tyson, the astrophysicist. I like most of the James Bond novels and the movies. My music tastes range from Elvis Presley to Bad Religion. I like chinese food (not the authentic kind), I don't mind a nice slice of cold pizza either, reheated pizza loses something along the way.

I try to comprehend the universe, it's a work in progress. I follow politics while trying to remain as free thinking as possible, I like to formulate my opinions without direction from others. I think about the future. I try to do the right thing and walk the line, I question myself if I'm not.

I don't like to work or do anything involving school on my Friday nights, I can't stay up late or really enjoy Sunday nights so Friday is really a part of my weekend. Maybe I'm sitting on the couch reading a new book or something on television really caught my attention. I don't have a quota for how many weekend nights I have to be out and about, I play it by ear. Maybe I'm hanging out with friends on going on a short road trip.

I get up at 7 AM on Saturdays and put on "I just can't help believin'" (Elvis cover) and sing along while making chocolate chip pancakes.
