My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm awesome. No, seriously! I'm not trying to be vain, it's just the truth. I am as brilliant and devastating as the stars that exploded to make my atoms.

I've been described by my friends as: "Completely worth that dollar. I've never gotten more bang for my buck."
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work overnights full time. I have not-enough custody of my outstanding little boy. The second thing is way more important than the first.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a good listener. I like to do it. I know all about myself, how interesting is that? I like meeting clever new people or people with new perspectives. We don't have to agree to have an awesome talk.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm loud! I have been coded genetically to lack an inside voice. I talk loud and laugh loud. (I snore loud, oh god.)

Readings - Douglas Adams, rest his soul, was a wonderful writer and it's a shame that he's no longer with us. One of the most romantic scenes I've ever read was in the fourth book of the Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy, figure that out? I've got a collection of treatises on strategy and military thought. The Prince, The Art of War, and The Book of Five Rings. This collection is generally found in the bathroom of wherever I'm staying. You know, where the really fierce battles happen.

Watchings - Netflix is currently giving me these genres thinking that I'll like them: Controversial Business Social & Cultural Documentaries, Witty Biographical Dramas, Suspenseful British TV Sci-Fi & Fantasy, and Raunchy Fight-the-System Movies. I'm not exactly sure what this says about me, and I hope it helps! Netflix seems to know me better than I know myself.

Listenings - I'm nerdy, you figured that out already. My musical taste is no exception. I like They Might Be Giants, Ben Folds, Jonathan Coulton, and other sort of independentish clever lyricists/musicians.

Eatings - I will consume everything, period. Eel has a special place in my heart. I love going to little independent restaurants and trying to discover the next little, delicious place that you haven't heard of but will go to again and again. St. Louis has a surprising number of these. Most of them seem to be on Olive, though. Sushi, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Italian, Mexican, Jamaican, and just plain ole burgers all have their place. I think I like steak less than I am supposed to. Maybe I am just eating it wrong?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Netflix Streaming, a comfy chair, Raisin Bran (What? What kind of old man are you? Who puts Raisin Bran?), Coffee Mugs (I don't like coffee but I love handles for drinking?), Air Conditioning, my awesome bed.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Politics. I've figured out I don't know what the fuck I want here, though. I've changed parties and viewpoints more times than not and am pretty much a wishy-washy independent voter. Recently I have found myself deeply disturbed at the amount of control the conservative side of the argument wants over our daily lives. I imagine they think the same about the liberal side, but active promotion of religion in government and promoting a bias in government against groups of people they think are icky really rubs me the wrong way.

Religion. I'm an atheist, kind of a lot. It's not something I want to force down throats, 'cause who does that help? Religion is personal and intimate and has highly different definitions and is taken with different amounts of sincerity with different people. That being said, if your religion is telling you that you need to oppress, constrain, or act unjustly towards a group of people for who they are or what they believe then me, you, and what you take as your deity need to sit down and have a discussion on the difference between religion and morality.

That's right, I think about the two most awkward conversations you can ever have. Oi!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Getting ready for work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm half-gay on my dad's side. Confused?

You should message me if you've ever looked into the sky at night and seen the stars and the moon and thought, "Holy crap, I'm on a giant spaceship and we're actually in space and I'm so used to the ship I forgot to appreciate the outside." and gotten a chill up your spine. I'd like to talk to someone like that.
