Music is terribly important to me. I love metal and jazz, but I'm open to most kinds of music. I'm an atheist, and by extension very skeptical in general. I like debating and I've been called talkative. Other than that, I like the company of others.

I'm studying Computer Engineering. Besides that, I'm playing trombone/bass/guitar in six different local bands. A large part of my spare time is occupied by composing or arranging, except of course when I have a deadline, and then my time is mostly occupied by procrastination.

These days, I spend a lot of time with Altanshiree, who I'm proud to call my friend and lover.

I'm good at music, photography, and computers. I wish I didn't suck so bad at playing the trombone, but then again I haven't been playing for long.

People tend to notice that I'm talkative. I like explaining and sharing things, and I like showing new exciting things to people. I love it when I get someone else excited over something I've come to like. The flip-side of course is that many people don't share by boundless enthusiasm for every new thing.

I don't like to list my favourite authors as a bullet-pointed list for others to peruse. I recently read The Secret History of the American Empire and Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins, which served as a wake-up call to finally get me more involved in what's going on around the world, instead of surrendering to apathy and cynicism.

I cannot recommend Neal Stephenson warmly enough. Read Cryptonomicon - especially if you consider yourself to be even a bit of a geek. Run, don't walk to the library/bookstore.

And of course, like everyone else on OkCupid, I like Neal Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

I listen to metal and jazz in all flavours, but my all-time favourites might be Count Basie, Scar Symmetry, Ultra Bra, Slayer and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. The latter is under-appreciated, so if you like horns in any amount, you really owe it to yourself to check them out.

I'm not big on movies, for whatever reason - I can't seem to make myself sit trough an entire movie by my own if my life depended upon it. Therefore I only watch movies in good company. I enjoy most movies, and I really emphatize even with crappy movies. I cried when I watched 13 going on 30, for crying out loud (no pun intended).

I require a musical instrument (any will do), rope (or something similarly utilitarian for getting tied up), and writing implements. If I lack these, I tend to make them up or improvise them. I have way too many pens and notebooks, for instance, and I accumulate instruments like my monitor accumulates dust.

I wish I could say I had a typical friday night, but there doesn't seem to be much of a pattern. I'm usually home doing exciting stuff unless someone has persuaded me to come out and play.

I'm not very private at all, actually. Most of my friends know most everything about me. I'm very kinky and polyamorous, but that's less of a private thing and more of a personality trait by this point.
