What I’m doing with my life
Baking. Creating. Brooding. Begrudgingly working for a corporate restaurant to pay the bills.
I’m really good at
Returning my grocery cart to its proper place.

Sighing. I'm not nearly as discontent as it makes me seem.
The first things people usually notice about me
"I don't know what to make of you..."

I spend a lot of time thinking about
conscious creation, existence, the true nature of reality (what does that even mean -- you feel me?), metaphysics, performance art, mushroom flashbacks, extraterrestrials, the smell of the E.T. adventure ride at Universal Studios, romance, flesh, opening a used book store/bakery, everything I "should" be doing -- getting ready for work, fixing my chipped nail polish, saving money, being practical.

I can't fit in this skin it's worn and useless thin.

“We are living in a culture entirely hypnotized by the illusion of time, in which the so-called present moment is felt as nothing but an infinitesimal hairline between an all-powerfully causative past and an absorbingly important future. We have no present. Our consciousness is almost completely preoccupied with memory and expectation. We do not realize that there never was, is, nor will be any other experience than present experience. We are therefore out of touch with reality. We confuse the world as talked about, described, and measured with the world which actually is. We are sick with a fascination for the useful tools of names and numbers, of symbols, signs, conceptions and ideas.” — Alan Watts

SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK (2008)

"What was once before you, an exciting and mysterious future, is now behind you — lived, understood, disappointing. You realize you are not special. You have struggled into existence and are now slipping silently out of it. This is everyone’s experience. Every single one. The specifics hardly matter. Everyone is everyone. So you are Adele, Hazel, Claire, Olive. You are Ellen. All her meager sadnesses are yours. All her loneliness. The gray, straw-like hair. Her red, raw hands. It’s yours. It is time for you to understand this. Walk. As the people who adore you stop adoring you, as they die, as they move on, as you shed them, as you shed your beauty, your youth, as the world forgets you, as you recognize your transience, as you begin to lose your characteristics one by one as you learn there is no one watching you and there never was, you think only about driving. Not coming from anyplace, not arriving anyplace, just driving, counting off time. Now, you are here. It’s 7:43. Now, you are here. It’s 7:44. Now, you are… gone."

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."
-- Marcus Aurelius
On a typical Friday night I am
working, reading (goodreads), or watching netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
For a minute there I lost myself.

[and I'm crazy about my cat]

Also, I really really like nice Jewish boys.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 25–35
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
...your log has something to tell me.

Also, I'm a chubby girl. I've got thick thighs and a big ass. I'm tall. Like 5'10 tall. If you have issues with any of this I'd really prefer you just leave me alone.

You're the Clarence to my Alabama, the Sailor to my Lula, the Troy to my Lelaina.

You're eclectic without being pretentious. You want to run away together.

You look like Agent Dale Cooper. Or if you're Charlie Kaufman.

I have a degree in Religious Studies. If you can't grasp the importance of religious literacy in fostering compassion and understanding between various groups with differing belief systems then you probably shouldn't bother.
