My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi - my name is Denys.

I am looking for a woman to date and maybe/hopefully it turns-into something long-term ... I think that foremost I need a conversation partner who is interested in what I have to say, interests me, and challenges me ... this means that when I look at your profile I try to determine if our personalities would match, which is based-upon more than mutual interests and/or whether or not you sound clever/sophisticated

I can start-out a little shy but warm-up quickly, in general I believe people think of me as a good guy.

I'm a native of Detroit, moved to this area 5 years ago for a job after 7 years as an officer in the Navy ... even though I've been here a number of years I'm still discovering new things.

My username comes from the '67 Mustang fastback I own, had it fully restored a few years back and try to drive it on nice days. Other hobbies are small handyman projects, reading, following the hometown teams (save the Pistons), watching auto racing (whether in person or on TV), and spending time outside when the weather is nice, whether it's doing something with the car, bicycling, hiking, taking a walk in North Park, or just sitting outside ... I don't think we need to have the *exact* same interests, either, as I'm naturally curious so I like learning about new things, I hope you are the same

I've written so much about myself as I feel it's important to give you some insight into who I am / how I tick ...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
By day, writing test procedures at Westinghouse -- I occasionally get a message from women in the Far East, I think it has to do with I mentioned my employer -- and by night, relaxing or researching something with the car or (see above)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- subtle humor
- natural curiosity
- planning trips
- being flexible
- sudoku
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I look young for my age (though not many good photos of me because I have a talent of shutting my eyes right before the shutter shuts/image snapped), quiet, shy, sense of humor
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
BOOKS:
I don't read books that often anymore, newspaper & magazines seem to be my fill at the moment ... but my favorite books were written by Dickens, Twain, Heinlein, or Philip K. Dick

MOVIES:
Empire Records, Rocknrolla, Hopscotch, Interstate 60, Le Mans, and Super Troopers ... haven't heard of one, a few, or all? That's ok, something for us to discuss!

MUSIC:
rock, country (banjos are cool!), polka (accordions are cool!), some classical ... a bit eclectic, whatever fits my mood

FOOD:
I like to grill, otherwise go for easy -- yet balanced -- recipes. I'm semi-adventurous for new foods, prefer someone there to interpret what I'm seeing on the menu
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- a periodic Doritos fix
- ability to remember small details that will make you melt at the right time
- timer in the kitchen
... and still deciding on the other 3
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- too much about work and what I "need to get done," either at work or at home
- whether self-declared "open-minded" individuals realize the irony when they themselves exhibit close-minded behavior
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
relaxing ... I typically use Friday nights to recharge a bit after the week, so if at work we've had a Happy Hour I'm coming home a bit later than usual and then resting or making preps for any "big" things I want to do during the weekend
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a very private person, but don't have many secrets from the people I truly trust
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I think a good woman for me is someone who is more extroverted than me, either of equal intelligence or smarter than me *but* doesn't lord it over me, and is self-confident.

... but please, I've written quite a bit about myself here and I put some time into messages I write, I'd appreciate if you could write more than "Hi! How are you?" (or some variation thereof) if you send me an introductory message
