I'm pretty great at training animals; I taught my cat how to "sit" and "lie down". Conversely, she has trained me to turn on the bathtub faucet for her every time I come home.

Books: Lolita, any and all short stories by Mark Twain, 1984, Slaughterhouse Five, The Diaries of Adam and Eve, Preacher, American Splendor. I read a lot of autobiographical comics but I also really dig The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Zero Girl, The Dark Knight Returns, and Girls.

Movies/TV: The Science of Sleep, Wristcutters, etc. Foreign films. Black and white films. Black and white foreign films (The Seventh Seal by Ingmar Bergman, name dropping, name dropping). Mostly though I watch television shows on DVD. Favourites include: Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation, Community, 30 Rock, Roseanne, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Big Bang Theory.

Music: Hip hop, indie pop, and any other genre ending in op.
I like lots of different types of music, but I lean most towards pop music and/or anything I can dance to. Right now I dance to Crystal Castles, Generationals, La Roux, and Yeasayer.

I also really like Animal Collective, The Weakerthans, cLOUDDEAD, Wu Tang Clan, Wilie Nelson, Art Blakey, Apples In Stereo, The Band, etc.
