My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey, my name is Colin. I graduated from college a couple years ago and moved back to my hometown of Houston for work-- I work in the audio video industry, and love what I do. When I'm around friends, I'm a total goofball. If you enjoy sarcasm, weird faces, and excessive laughter, we'll get along great.

Music is a HUGE passion of mine-- I've been singing almost as long as I could talk, and also play guitar. Also love recording and producing my own music-- it's my dream one day to own my own recording studio.

My love language is quality time-- I get close to people by spending time with them. I love to talk about anything, everything, and nothing. Long conversations are one of my favorite things.

If you have other questions, just message me!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm continuing to grow as a friend, a Christian, a musician, and a person. I love writing, math, logic, music, and food. Once you get me talking about something I'm passionate about, good luck getting me to stop. Becoming more and more active in my church now, especially working with middle and high schoolers, but am still looking for people my age to spend time with.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being encouraging. Being silly. Eating cookies.
But other than that... I'm a good listener.
I've been told I'm a good teacher, and that I'm very empathetic. Which is cool.
I've been meaning to take the Meyers Briggs personality test, which could probably tell me a lot more of my strengths, but have never gotten around to it. Maybe someday....
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I talk a lot. I smile a lot. I'm secure in who I am. I don't mind being awkward for the amusement of others. I'm full of fun facts about lots of random things, that I will gladly share with you.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:
I was a TOTAL bookworm when I was younger... but not so much anymore. I'm trying to get back into reading, though. Right now:

Bible (yes. I read the Bible.)
Life of Pi, The Shack, A Case for Christ
Hopefully the list will expand as I get back in the habit of reading again.

Movies:
SO many.
I like action/adventure, but then again, who doesn't?
I can handle the occasional chick flick, and dramas have their place when I'm in the mood. So I guess I like most any movies.

TV Shows:
Big Bang Theory, Psych, The Mentalist, NCIS, Person of Interest,
Mythbusters, and anything on The Science Channel.
And of course, reruns of Seinfeld and Fresh Prince

Music:
As I said before, I'm a complete music-a-holic.
I like most of today's current music, Top 40, etc., but also really love oldies from the '70s and '80s. Also will listen to some Christian and CCM, though recently the genre as a whole has become a little too homogenous for my tastes.

If you push me to name favorite bands/ artists
(in no particular order):
The Beatles, James Taylor, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Huey Lewis and the News, The Eagles, Chicago, Sara Bareilles, The Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Maroon 5, Owl City, Pentatonix, David Crowder Band, Casting Crowns, Relient K, Switchfoot, Third Day, Newsboys, Kari Jobe

INTRODUCE ME TO NEW MUSIC. If I end up liking your suggestions, I'll love you forever. :D

Food:
I love food. You probably can't tell by my twig-like stature, but it's true. I like cooking too. Yay for food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I value my relationships above all else. First with God, then with friends and family. I think it's fairly clear that's the way God intends it to be. After that, in order of could-never-do-without-hood,

1. God. Yay God.
2. Friends. Family. The love they give and the ability to love them back. (FYI, I include "significant other" in this category as well.)
3. Voice/ ability to sing
4. iPod/ my music library
5. Something to challenge me intellectually/ make me learn something new
6. Food. Good food.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
music. God. church. music again. What my future holds.
how things work. why things work.

relationships. Not just romantic, but family and friends as well. Why we as people spend more time on our work and careers than we do on appreciating and relating to each other.

the ten thousand things I want to start doing again, but... haven't gotten around to yet. (aka, reading for fun, learning the harmonica, learning HTML coding, and a plethora of others).
Yes I did just say plethora.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging out with friends, either at one of their places, or out eating, shopping, galavanting, etc. I've never been much for the partying/ bar scene.
