My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a kind and thoughtful person, somewhat quiet and serious but fully capable of loosening up and carrying my side of just about any conversation. Not great at small talk, but brimming with opinions, facts, factoids and other information (trivia, basically). I have become a bit of a workaholic and I'm not at all pleased about that. I am honest and sincere, and I treat others with respect at all times.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Becoming more overeducated.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
learning and remembering things (I have a pretty impressive memory). I also think of myself as a very good listener.
The first things people usually notice about me

Height, maybe? The truth is I have no idea what people usually notice. It's very likely that I've never asked anyone.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I mostly read nonfiction, and that makes it really hard to choose favorites. This is an easier question when it comes to music: My favorites by far are blues and jazz. There are very few things I enjoy more than seeing a live blues performance. But I can also listen to (and enjoy) pretty much anything else. Same goes for movies. Not a TV watcher at all; I'm afraid that if I got started I would spend way too much time doing it. I do occasionally waste time watching sports on the computer (but not obsessively, I promise). Food-wise, as long as it's meatless I'm happy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
newspaper, music, coffee, gym, library, car
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what comes next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
decompressing at home, to be perfectly honest. But I would gladly make better use of my Friday evenings -- I just need some good company.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
No secrets. Ask and I'll gladly answer.

Well, you just should. I mean, why not? And I'm definitely much better at responding to messages than I am at completing a profile like this one.
