What is the deal with OkCupid tests such as, "Do you hate Bush?" "Are you a lesbian?" "Can You Win the World Cup?"
I ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER. Why the hell would I take the test?
Yes, I hate Bush. I do not need a test to tell me this. Is there actually some idiot out there who is unsure of this? Either you do or you don't! And if by age 18 you are not sure of your sexual orientation then you should be out on a long and involved journey of self discovery, not taking a test. (By the way, I took the test, which said that I was most definitely a lesbian, which I happen not to be. I should note that the criteria it used to make this decision was the fact that I don't have long painted nails, wear skirts all the time, or vote Republican. Which means that most of the girls I would care to hang out with are gay. Surprise!)
Finally, my response to the last test, which has been the most popular OkCupid test for weeks now:
No, I cannot win the World Cup. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it is probably because I have not played soccer since sixth grade. In fact, I don't play any sport at all. Also, I'm a girl. So even if I played soccer, I could only win the Women's World Cup.
And for the people who write the "Would You Like To See My Breasts" tests, and things of that ilk: It's really sad that you feel the need to brag about your breasts so that you can get male attention and therefore feel better about yourself. It gives the impression that you feel that your mind and spirit are not worthy of such attention. I can assure you that the reaction you're getting from most intelligent people is either disdain or pity.

Could you date someone who has strong political opinions that are the exact opposite of yours?

I probably couldn't date someone who was extremely Conservative. I could, however, date someone who had opposing views on some issues. I'm very Liberal and currently dating a Libertarian, and it seems to work all right. The most important thing is that the person has explored their views and really knows why they feel the way they do. I'd much rather date someone who is a Republican but very informed and grounded within their beliefs than someone who is Republican mostly because their parents/church/hometown swing that way, so they just hopped on board.

Who do you think was smartest on this list?

This is an impossible question to answer. All of these men were very smart, but in completely different ways. They're four disparate people. However, if the question were which man's contribution I personally enjoy the most, I would have to say Shakespeare or Mozart.
