I am sponatenous, unique, and awesome.

My Self-Summary

My name is Travis. *waves*

I'm 21 and am finishing my bachelor's degree in film with a couple awesome internships. One at a talent agency and the other at a major Hollywood film studio. I also just got hired with Apple for nights & weekends, so I have a busy schedule ahead of me for the next month or so!

I tend to think of myself as a very friendly and outgoing sort of person. I can strike up meaningful conversations with complete strangers that I meet. At the end of the day though, I really cherish my relationships (be it family, friends, or the romantic-type).

I'm a filmmaker, a photographer, and a technology geek.

I'd include man's man, but I can't play guitar... or wrestle bears.
Now in Spanish
Hola! Me llamo Travis. *waves*

What I’m doing with my life

Trying to break into the film industry. I finished my degree through Columbia College Chicago's Semester in LA program. Basically, it was taking producing classes on a studio lot for five weeks. I decided to stay afterward and was able to find a couple internships and a new job! Score!

Life is an adventure and I'm a pirate, so why not explore? I'm moving to my third major city in three years and looking to stay for a while in Southern California while I get myself into the film industry.

I’m really good at

Fixing things, especially computers. Hence, that's my current job.

Thinking outside the box

Coming up with things to do on a moment's notice.

The first things people usually notice about me

I've been told that it's my energy, enthusiasm, and sense of humor (which can range from being "appropriate" to crude or childish).

Some of my friends have told me that most of this seems to be contagious in a way.... they might come into work exhausted and pessimistic, but by the end be refreshed and exhilarated (as well as crack some crude jokes of their own).

I have a slight, permanent limp. Many epic tales have been written to explain this strange phenomenon. My favorite involves me battling scores of trained ninjas. I was able to kill dozens of them before I became overwhelmed.

And while we're on the subject:

Pirates > Robots > Zombies > Ninjas > Getting kicked in the balls > Twilight

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books-
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook
World War Z
The Zombie Survival Guide
The Areas of My Expertise

Movies- Indiana Jones, Star Wars, The Matrix, Apocalypse Now, Big Fish, Batman Begins, Citizen Kane, Serenity, Dark Knight, Wall-E, Ratatouille, Toy Story, Up, Finding Nemo, really, anything Pixar, and lots more.

TV- Lost, Chuck, Venture Bros, The Office, Battlestar Galactica, The Daily Show, Firefly, Arrested Development, Futurama, The Tonight Show with Conan.

Music- The Beatles, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Raconteurs, Beck, One Day As a Lion, Led Zeppelin, Filter, 311, Pearl Jam, Presidents of the United States, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and surely more.

I'm adding video games here (these are the ones that I go back and replay):
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Bioshock, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Halo series, Ratchet and Clank Future, God of War, The Orange Box (especially Portal), The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, Call of Duty series, Gears of War, Perfect Dark, the 2-D Sonic the Hedgehog games.

The six things I could never do without

iPhone (this really should take up three things itself)
4. Laptop
5. my car
6. what little dignity I have left

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My future. The world's future. How to seek and capture the holy grail.

Whether nuclear winter would cancel out global warming.

Or the robot uprising defeating the zombie apocalypse..

On a typical Friday night I am

It always changes. I could be at work, looking to go out on the town after. I could be bar-hopping with some friends or seeing the latest movie. Otherwise, often, my friends just come over for pizza and video games or movies.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm a pirate.

You should message me if

You have a sense of humor.

Maybe you want to show me around LA?
