My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I decided to make serious commitment to my art about three years ago. My daughter, now 25, was fully supporting herself, and I was not involved in a relationship. was quite transformational. I made a good decision. So now I am achieving some 120 works and will soon be taking over the art world...or something like that. That being said...I will be looking forward to some down time. A playful sort I am...bit of a trouble maker as love with all things clever delicious and beautiful. I could not live happily without music. I am moved profoundly by the written word... And in another life I would be a film director. Meanwhile I find satisfaction as the architect of my dreams and visions. Ready and willing to embrace a new romance...hopefully the one great romance of them all.. Seems like the right time for me. All possibilities are on the table
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing about what happened instead. Ha! That is the real story
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
preparing food. sweeping. forgetting jokes. kissing, don't really think much about what I'm good at. I count on the fact that if I want to be good at something I will have to work at it. Luckily, I am just fine with that. Snowboarding.clever insight. Making a mess. Cleaning it up. Irreverence. Talking to young people. Playing dumb. Being silly. Getting serious. My backgd is math, engineering, architecture and sound design. In a pinch I can design and build anything. I prefer the abstract and impractical aspects of making art. I am methodical.
The first things people usually notice about me

I am not really sure. Usually whatever they are inclined to notice or project, I would guess. Whatever they are looking for. Most people, including me, are inclined to project before perceive. If someone really notices something about me that I consider special I am always pleasantly surprised.

I follow the directors: allen, amodovar, bertolucci, wenders, Di palma, Lumet, many great ones...The directors who are free of ties that bind them to hollywood make the good movies. Hollywood tries but can never outgrow it's self indulgence. The biography of Cleopatra was the last book I've read. A great book. Love a good biography. I like the way Gore Vidal tells history. I loved Bonfire of the Vanities and Cold mountain as books, Shameful what hollywood did toe spoil the greatness of those books..... I love Roald Dahl. Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka was a master at the top of his game. I always loved reading russian writers. I think Great Expectations is one of the great works. Light in August was unforgettable. Tropic of Cancer, Naked Lunch, Slaughterhouse 5... The sunday new york times is always appreciated and devoured. I try to read the economist as much as I can for real up to date info on the state of the world. While I could live happily eating just granola fruit and yogurt, I am very fond of almost anything prepared well...I have a thing for oysters, chocolate, spinach, coffee, reeses peanut butter cups, duck breasts, shallot/sherry vinaigrette on new lettuce, pine nuts, smelly cheese, spanish olives and feta, heirloom tomatoes, fresh herbs, acme bread, raisin bran, and Nabalom Bakery's blackberry cheese danish. I love good food well prepared with cheap good wine. I could not live without the blues. Thelonius Monk was genius of the hidden melody, Hank Williams and Jimmie Rodgers great american songwriters, Loretta Lynn I saw in Nashville.....I got what is good about country by seeing her. Saw Bob Marley in 75, Amazing. I love almost every other kind of music. Even Gospel, rap, hip hop, middle eastern, bulgarian, indian music. Extended monotonous over produced house beats are probably my least favorite. I will never stop trying to keep up with what young artists are doing. Keeps my spirit alive, vital an young.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
coffee, chocolate, nature (rivers and oceans), my daughter, my bicycle, music...or. ordinary everyday magic, epiphanies, syncronicity, lucid dreams, visionary revelations. Transcendent breakthroughs
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how to make a contribution to the world, to my daughters life, and creating art. looking for new recipes, learning new things. I try to feel/intuit things, and to "think" as little as possible. The brain is without a doubt the least developed and most unreliable part of the human being. how to get someone to realize that when I say they;re nuts, it;s a compliment
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I have never had a typical day or night. Although Friday is my favorite time of the year!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
