I'm originally from northern Ontario, however I've been in Vancouver now for almost 8 years. Aside from the fact that I cry at Tim Horton commercials, I'm all about the west coast.

I have a great job, a big group of friends and I'm really good at Settlers of Catan. I'm creative and outgoing. I love trivia nights and trying new craft beers. Every long weekend my friends either plan a bike wine tour in the Naramata or pub crawls in Portland. We're very active and love to incorporate some sort of dance party into every event. I'm a self proclaimed beer nerd and soon to be certified. Oh yeah, believe it. I still quote vintage Simpsons on a regular basis, and the only reason I'm not a vegetarian is one fold; bacon.

I'm old fashioned...meaning that I still believe in chivalry and people say my style is "Grandma Chic". Yes. I have guest towels and matching tea cups. When I have house guests I like to think it's a one bedroom bed and breakfast in the heart of mount pleasant.

I love hosting dinner parties and I plan on having the best chocolate chip cookie recipe that my kids friends will talk about. I love having fresh flowers in my apartment and baths on cold nights. With all the old fashion stuff aside, I'm still a youngin'. I love going to live shows and concerts. Or just a good dancing night at the Waldorf or Anza.

I own my own small production company. I am a writer and a producer of film, sketch shows and comedy nights. The odd time, I'm a performer. I've tried stand up once in my life and yes. I almost vomited. I think I'll stick to hosting my friends weddings and comedy nights. But part of me still loves the idea of telling jokes for five minutes on a stage to strangers. I also work part time at a pub because it feeds my likeness toward beer. I'm currently studying to be a cicerone. You can google what that is. I'll wait.

I love reading scripts and plays. I just finished reading a Steve Martin play called "Underpants". Very funny. I'm also reading Mindy Kaling's book. It's called "Is everyone hanging out without me? and other concerns". Also very funny. I used to read whatever Oprah told me to but now I'll read someone mainstream stuff ie Hunger Games. But I have yet to read a single book about a vampire.

TV shows... I take tv very seriously. I don't watch a lot of reality. I'm all about substance and humour. On a weekly basis, I try to never miss Modern Family, Walking Dead, Newsroom, 30 Rock, Shameless, Seinfeld, It's Always Sunny, and anything with Jason Segal (vintage and current). I get my "news" from Jon Stewart sometimes I get sucked into the odd episode of intervention. I'm trying to quit though.

I don't leave special things to Fridays. I think Thursdays are the new Fridays. Sooooo, on Thursdays I can be seen out with friends, or hanging out at home. Same for Fridays. Or any night for that matter.

I have a weird thing for Gingers. It's not a deal breaker, but my head will often turn twice for a bearded red headed gent. I don't know the origin. But just thought I'd share that... yup. It's out there now.
