My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a bit of a goofball. I spend a lot of time being serious at work and we all tend to take ourselves way too seriously. I enjoy cutting loose when I have the chance.

Being healthy and active are important to me as are my favorite food and drink. Running or hiking 10+ miles on a Saturday isn't foreign to me but neither is following that up with a burger and a couple of beers. Moderation is silly. Balance, on the other hand, is crucial. If you have any idea what I'm talking about, we'll probably get along.

Like almost everybody else on here, I love to travel. I get a little restless when I haven't left the metro area for a few weeks and even more so when I haven't left the country in awhile.

I'm a bit of a compulsive reader, usually going from one book to another, reading more than one at a time. It's always been a way to relieve stress or unplug for a bit. And preferable to turning the TV on.

In my free time, I want to be outside doing something: hiking, backpacking, biking, or horseback riding. Most of the trips I take incorporate one or more of the above.

I think that's it for now. If you want to know more, ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to re-establish that balance in my life after leaving teaching. I gave myself a year to relax before tackling what really comes next. Year's almost up...starting over is a little scary but also really exciting.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Changing a flat on my bike, cooking without a recipe, and forgetting that my sunglasses are on my head.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not sure if they're the first thing that gets noticed, but people often comment on my chicken legs.

I usually just see where I'm at 5pm on a Friday. Most of the time I like going for a run, cooking dinner, and reading or watching a movie. Sometimes I'm getting out of the city for a weekend of hiking.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You don't suffer separation anxiety when you get up from the couch, will eat just about anything (at least once), don't cringe when you here the word 'camping', can drink a whisky without a mixer, and are looking for a partner in crime.
