I am shy in the most inappropriate situations. I hate turkey stuffing. I love animals more than people. I have a soft spot for skinny boys, tuna cassarole, and the ocean. I feel guilty when I'm not being productive, but will find any reason to procrastinate. I think way too much and worry about things that I know don't really matter. My friends (and there are only a few really, really good ones) and my family mean everything. Without them I would have been a blank page. I have to feel connected to people to feel complete, but sometimes letting people close enough is a struggle. I believe that people will use you for whatever they need to, and that has made me wary of new people and is probably the reason I don't have many friends. I'm ok with that

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in vocal performance. I wanted to be an opera singer for most of my life, but recently have completely switched directions and decided that I want to be a nurse. I have been accepted into Goldfarb School of Nursing's Accelerated BSN program for next fall (2010) and that program takes a year, then I will work for awhile and eventually get my NP for either Gerontology or Psych. I'd really like to work with elderly dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I have a lot of respect for the elderly and would like to take care of them in a way that shows that respect. Someday I'll be old and will probably need someone with the same compassion to care for me.

Sometimes I like to jump in the car and just drive to nowhere. I turn on some music, roll the windows down, and sing at the top of my lungs. It always gets an interesting reaction from other drivers. There's something so freeing about being between destinations.

When I get a whole day off, I don't know what to do with myself. It makes me feel like a slug if I have nothing to do or no one to see. I'm a planner, which on the plus side means I'm reliable and on the minus side means I'm not very spontaneous.

I work at an animal hospital right now but I'm getting some classes done so I can start nursing school next fall.

I'm not a skinny girl. I never have been. I don't make apologies for my body and I don't have any patience for people who think that beauty is based on one singular ideal. But if you like some hips and a rockin booty, then I'm your girl ;)

I love love love sushi and any Thai or Vietnamese food.

I like lots of different types of music, but some of my favorites right now are Charlotte Sometimes, Fiona Apple, The Ting Tings, Ingrid Michaelson, Flyleaf, Duffy, Honey Honey, Lenka, Angel Taylor, Ludo, Toby Lightman, Sneaker Pimps, Massive Attack, and Portishead.

My favorite movies are Fight Club, Rules of Attraction, Mean Girls, Go, and V for Vendetta.

As for TV, I like House, Grey's Anatomy, Mercy (yes, I'm aware they're all medical shows) Glee, Flash Forward, and Family Guy

Sometimes I go out, but not nearly as much as I used to. I think I'm over it. If I go out now it's probably either for live music or karaoke.

Some Friday nights I stay in, paint my toes and cuddle with the kitties while watching scrubs reruns and eating mac and cheese. But hey, that's me...

I rarely wear pants when I'm at home...I live alone and the cats don't care.

I often find myself attracted to Asian guys. Always have. Don't know why. Also love guys with accents. Slays me every time.

I wish I could take all my five-star-rated personalities from this site and randomly disperse them at the bars so that we could meet by chance instead of by the traditional awkward first date ritual that, for me, rarely turns into a second date. I guess I scare people away once they go out with me the first time.

That being said, I am done dealing with men who act like children, are emotionally retarded, or who aren't really ready for a real, grown up relationship. Seriously, where are all the adults?!?
