Although it may just seem like the trendy thing to say now but I care for the environment. I learned about sustainability in high school but I also learned that I didn't like biology then so I could not lead my career that direction. Although what I do for work has only an indirect effect on the environment I have been changing my lifestyle. I try to shop organic and bring my own shopping bags. I recycle and ideally I would live in a LEED certified home but alas they are too expensive.

Since exercise is important I try to ride my bike at least once each weekend and I sometimes ride my bike to work too. On the weekends I have time to cook healthy and tasty meals and sometimes with new ingredients I found at my local Whole Foods. I am a bit of a foodie but just to the extent that I like to try new restaurants where sometimes the food is whatever the chef felt like cooking that day. My favorite TV show is Good Eats on the food network since I like both science and cooking. I have been trying to learn how to salsa dance. I like partner dancing where there is a lead and a follow a lot more than other types of dancing.

I enjoy my job as an engineer and try to take full advantage of my vacation time to get out and travel. I have not figured out how I can help save the world from global warming since there is only so much one person can do but I have been trying to make eco-friendly choices whenever possible.

The internet is immensely useful but I usually go without it on my travels since I am trying to get a new experience, not the same thing I can do at home. My bicycle provides me with countless hours of great scenery, exercise, and a good dose of speed all at once.

Either relaxing at home from a long day of work or out Salsa dancing.
