polymath, ambidexterous, and inventive
My self-summary Propose an edit
I actually suck at math, polymath has nothing much to do with
mathematics. It is just a fancy way to say I am a sort of
Renaissance Man or general know it all who refrains from
boasting.
Born young, I have been trying to stay that way ever since. There
have been a steady series of setbacks along the way, each marred by
a candle burning singing ceremony. Good thing I take things in
stride (although I at first took them with a sort of squirming
crawl.)
I like candles without hearing off key singing in the background. I
can even see the wisdom of candles near the bath tub. Helps keep
the water warm and easy at the same time to put them out if they
flare up.
I am not too sure I like hot wax though.
Aside from this brief peep in to my cranium, I confess to once
having taken a course in writing short fiction. That was invaluable
to my career in a multitude of ways.
Right now after a few life altering events, I am embarking on a new
career as a full time writer, part time sustinence earner. Sort of
like Stephen King started, but different.
Over to you, dear reader . . .

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Hmmm.
In my fantasy of success, I am back in France where:
I write a bit.
I sip wine.
I go out in to the sunshine.
I come back in and write a bit more.
Sip more wine.
I try to be moderate in wine intake - a glass or two a day.
I try to put out more words. No need to be a millionaire.
If I were, I would hire someone to handle the phone, fame, and
mail. And keep doing the rest until the money ran out.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
woodworking

sitting around doing nothing much
playing "BOO" with little kids in supermarkets.

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
beyond the obvious food shelter air
1 the Internet, and another rub of the lantern please, Genie.
2 books coming from a chute on demand, mixed with random
titles.
3 human association
4 beauty (this is a tough one to define, but I know it when I see
it.)
5 A large supply of fine wine, not necessarily French, I like
Californian, Australian, Chilean, Spanish, Italian, but not all
that much Bulgarian wines. And cheese? Bring it on!
6 My Leatherman Wave because I am a serious type o guy about tools,
and all imitations suck. Although the McGuyver version of the Swiss
Army knife is useful in many other ways.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
beautiful women, and the universe.
I know why women are beautiful, and think about them anyway.
I wonder about such questions as what was there before the big
bang, and where was it since the universe didn't exist yet, and
also since time is a function of energy within the universe, was
the amount of 'time' before the Big Bang very short? And since most
physics equations balance at zero sum, perhaps the original energy
needed for the big bang was actually zero, but there needed to be a
divide between 'possible' and 'actual'
But I don't have the math to express it, so I am writing science
fiction about the infinite numbers of parallel universes knowing my
theories are correct, and that eventually I will be renowned as a
predictor of quantum unified theory of the universe.
Maybe if I arrive with the wrong question, all the stars will start
to go quietly out - one by one.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
Reading the free Mirror magazine about what cultural stuff is going
on in Montreal, and what movies are opening.
Then I sigh, and wonder who I can go with. (Here is where you apply
for the 'position' dear reader.)
After a moment of introspective self pity, I then decide to buck up
and take a walk, or do some other boring but potentially
interesting thing. Planning a Saturday window shopping is fun, so
is cruising yard sales and fighting temptations to add ballast to
my worldly goods account.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I am willing to discuss private things by email.
And although crazy, I am also ambitious.
You should message me if Propose an edit
You are really smart, or curious, and not impressed by money or the
things it buys. It helps if you are actually interested in living
on a barge in some safe harbor in a warmish climate. A nice barge,
maybe seventy eet long, 14 feet wide, with two decks. Or a similar
size yacht?
