I grew up on the east coast, in a big family. I have lots of brothers, no sisters. I've moved back and forth between CA and NY and some other cities for many years now -- college, grad school, family, etc. I am trying to NOT be sarcastic here, but it is hard, let me tell you. Deep breath. OK: I like talking with interesting people, I like to investigate all kinds of things. I can eat, like, 5 large peaches in a row, no problem. I just did, in fact. And I had several fist fulls of blueberries too while I was at it. I am seriously losing it here trying to be sincere, I am naturally a wise-ass.

I love irony and dry humor (or absurd or silly goofy nonsense). Having all those brothers makes me a different kind of girl, some have said. Very feminine -- oh, of course! high heels, even in my sleep! The whole nine yards -- but also very able to understand the cryptic, complex male psyche. And play frisbee like a boy. Actually, no, I don't wear high heels. Daily, that is. Sorry to excite like that and then disappoint.

On the more boring side, I have advanced degrees, not in math. I teach at university, I write, run, swim, hike. I love strong coffee, summer fruits and any kind of water (ocean, river, bay, pool, whatever). Plus, I love movies, bookstores, books, sun, thunderstorms and playing first base because I am a really good catcher but I don't like playing behind the plate. This I have not done in a long time though. I like islands. I am a mommy. I like red wine too. And my job is fun. I am goofy, but also somehow composed. I am an ex-athlete, I like animals but have none. I love kids.

What the F kind of question is this?

So many things, gosh darn, where should I begin? My talents are extensive and wildly impressive, I don't want to intimidate. I'll just go with: parallel parking. Omelette-making. Being a wise-ass.

I don't know. Someone I know says, maybe smile and hair. Maybe my fitness.

I like spicy food. And pure, wholesome food. As a person trained in literature, I can safely say without sounding too dumb that I lately like really dumb books, books that you can read on the beach; I am recently relaxing with books that are not demanding, that are almost mind-numbing. Books with titles like "The Manny" and "The Lover." That being said, I have read ALL of the other books out there, including non-fiction -- I am talking books by Adorno, Derrida, Hegel and Kant, as well as Arendt, Judith Butler, and other lightweights. So there. Ha.
I love movies! And film. I have seen ALL of the movies ever made. I am NOT exaggerating, I NEVER, EVER exaggerate. Seriously, let me tell you, I watch and read ALL THE TIME. And EAT. I eat alot and stay really slender, it's all in the genes.

Every answer I can think of sounds either totally goofy or completely sarcastic, so I am looking for ideas ... perhaps:
