My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Recently finished a politics degree at the University of Manchester and back in the motherland training to be a teacher.

Just starting "real life" in Cardiff. Turns out it mostly sucks and I'm condemned to a life of heartache and misery.

But don't fret, I'm *TOTALLY* cool with that. And so you should be too.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Training to be the best English teacher to have ever come out of Wales. This is kinda fun but pretty hard work. Failing in various modes of self-improvement (quitting smoking and taking up running). Trying to remain culturally relevant whilst simultaneously realising no one ~really~ cares about this kind of thing. Napping. Blowing kisses to disinterested bitches.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Convincing myself that my degree wasn't a complete waste of time.

Making complex sandwiches (both nutritionally diverse and physically imposing).

Explaining to people why I don't have a Welsh accent. (It's really simple).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Junk in the trunk
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I've started reading a bit more recently after a post-uni slump. Jonathan Franzen pushes my buttons. Simon Reynolds for obsessively documenting British dance music history. I'm pretty bored of politics textbooks by now but still dip my toes in occasionally. WIRE Magazine for post-constructivist readings of hip-hop. Adbusters for fighting the good fight. The Guardian for everything else.

David Lynch & Andrei Tarkovsky are my favourite directors. If you're into these guys we'll probably be friends. If not then we can still be friends but I will like you considerably less. Only kidding. Maybe.

Twin Peaks is probably the only TV show I'll ever need and I base my moral compass around Special Agent Dale Cooper. Sometimes. Breaking Bad also floats my boat but I'll try to avoid any of WW's behavioural traits

Various strands of slightly off-kilter dance music...
Ricardo Villalobos, Aphex Twin, Zomby, Burial, Pearson Sound.
80s Chicago House and Detroit Techno. 90s New York Garage.
Labels - Trax, Underground Resistance, Honest Jons, Hessle Audio, Hotflush, R&S.

Music for the head as well as the feet.

Radio 4 (World Service is way underrated) for late nights. Rinse FM for party times. NTS Radio for sunny mornings.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
High quality audio equipment
140 bpm
A nice coat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Politics. I generally have socialist tendencies but sometimes need a bit of convincing. Feminism. Gender and its relation to pretty much everything. What t-shirts to buy next. The relevance of obscure pop culture phenomena. The subjective attitude of cats towards my general existence. They hate me and I ~think~ I hate them back.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Freebasing crystal meth
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I watched Sex and the City in its entirety last summer and it sucked.
