My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"If you insist on leaving your fate to the gods, then the gods will repay your weakness by having a grin or two at your expense. Should you fail to pilot your own ship, don't be surprised at what inappropriate port you find yourself docked." -Tom Robbins.

Sometimes the best way to find what you're looking for, is just to get lost. Because it's been my experience, what I'm looking for is generally not actually what I need.

I like to own my guilty pleasures-so perhaps they're really just pleasures.

I embrace conflict, because it's not conflict that is bad, but the way that you work through it. Life is not meant to placate, or pacify. We are meant to challenge one another, it's how we learn and grow. We must do so with good intentions and with honesty. We must do so with listening, and with the goal of understanding, not winning. (Sorry, Charlie).

I'm healthy, active, happy and confident in my body; and I hope you are too.

I love the outdoors, in warm seasons and places. Camping, kayaking, swimming, hiking, fall bonfires/campfires, playing tag on fresh cut grass barefoot, laying outdoors on a hill and reading. I've come to discover that I'm happiest with a little city and a lot of country in my life.

I consider myself a cynical idealist, and live in the contradictions of that.

I find it's the small victories that matter.

"I'm a little manic, completely organic, and won't panic... for the most part."

Einstein said: "Only a life lived for others, is a life worthwhile." Going along with that, I respond best to people who care about others, believe strongly in some issue related to social justice, and are doing something to work towards the change they wish to see (cliche, but accurate).

"Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black. And the dark street winds and bends. Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow. We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow. And watch where the chalk-white arrows go. To the place where the sidewalk ends." - Shel Silverstein

Ultimately, I'm just a girl. A girl who likes to dance, love, flirt, learn, read, write, sleep, dream, laugh, help, search, play, explore, scream, think, serve, enjoy, support, sing, shake, vote, watch, listen, lust, believe, hope, change, tremble, and feel.

I am... idealistic, salacious and idiosyncratic.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to enjoy the little things:
Spending time with my nephew.
Reading amazing classic literature... and trashy vampire novels.
Having great conversations about literature, love, religion, life, politics, sex, the universe and everything.
Laughing about absolutely nothing at all
Making fun of myself and others.
Doing a culinary tour through whatever cuisine I haven't tried yet, or an old favorite. Both through restaurants and cooking.
Checking out theater, live music, and free days at museums.
Hitting a few trivia nights here and there.
Traveling the continents, one country at a time.
Making new friends and spending time with old friends.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cuddling. Laughing. Hugs. Planning traveling adventures. Remembering where that obscure movie quote came from. Reading Dr. Seuss books to young children. Helping people. Dancing like a banana. Acting like a complete geek around friends. Random Trivia. Feeding people good food. Being there for my friends when they need me. The teacher stare.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm generally a pretty happy person.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
It's much easier for me to determine six intangible things that I could never do without, then it is to actually think of six actual, material THINGS. So I challenged myself to think materialistically.
Cheese.
Passport.
Blanket.
Soap
Book
Water Bottle.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Castles in Ireland. Eating the plums that are in the icebox. Claddagh. Inclusion and Exclusion. Swimming in the Mediterranean, or the west river, or the ocean. Social Justice. How to join the browncoats. Moving to South America or Burma or Vermont or New Orleans. Where the Sidewalk Ends. Echo and Narcissus. Cooking. Bazinga! Stereotypes. Talking about a revolution, or many of them. The Cinnamon Peeler's Wife. La vie boheme. Service learning. Jasmine scented beet perfume. Cuddling. Making Levees, Not War. Identity. How to reach the large part of society who have checked out. How to reach the large part of society that has made people check out. Where I can find a Tardis. Where I went wrong about something and how to learn from it. Sex. Where I went right about something and how I can learn from it. Thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The only thing I can say is that whatever I'm doing, that's what I should be doing and whoever I'm with, that's who I should be with.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I both fear and crave the loss of control.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You like girls who have brains, curves, confidence and smart mouths.

You take yourself seriously... but not too seriously.

You can geek out a little about sci-fi.

You want to talk about the latest book you read or are reading.

You like ball pits. Bazinga!

You have opinions and aren't afraid to have them challenged.

You like opinions and aren't afraid to challenge them.

You have something to say but also listen to what others have to say.

You only play games that involve boards, controllers, trivia, hula hoops, sports equipment, etc... I hate the game, but I hate the players more, cause they chose to play; so don't waste my time, or yours.

If you want to take the time to want to satisfy me.
