My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a goodhearted man. It would be great to connect with a special lady, who also wants: mutual nurturing, spoiling and empowerment. I'm interested in friendship, but open to the magic of a committed love relationship developing, over time. I like what the Dalai Lama says: "My religion is kindness."
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm mostly retired. I published two books this past year, one about my experience related to great saints and enlightened masters, one poetry and essays, a collaborative effort with my brother. Working on a third presently.
I do some life-coaching, may lead another Course in Miracles group (I've led many). I do lots of volunteering, especially at the Ananda community in SW Portland, where I'm living presently. I enjoy time with friends. No t.v, but open to watching it with others. I love drives to the beach, other outings, touristy stuff sometimes, live theater, movies, walk every day (usually after dinner).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Discerning a good heart, being a friend, listening, sharing authentically, being a "big brother"(in years past).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Optimism, enthusiasm for life and people, lighthearted sense of humor
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Recently saw "Searching for Sugarman," a fabulous movie. Ditto for "One Track Heart," the story of Krishna Das and his guru Neem Karoli Baba. "The Scapegoat," a movie based on the book by Du Maurier (the version made in 2012, not the earlier one).
Books: Yogananda, Kriyananda, Course in Miracles, Rex Stout-mysteries, Grisham, Ken Follett; All kinds of music, Andrea Bocelli, oldies...ballroom dance music; Good movies of any genre.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
meditation, family, good food, friends, humor, optimism
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
love, goodness, fun, friends, making a positive difference, funny and interesting stories.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
no different from any other night. With friends, at a kirtan, watching a flick, relaxing...........
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
