My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think a lot, too much, all the time- I probably take conversation to bleak existential places way too frequently (like even sober I'm the guy that got a little TOO stoned), but I laugh a lot. I love a good conversation of any sort, small or big or silly or sad- I talk fast when I'm excited and can be a lot to keep up with.

I like board games, I am trying to get outdoors more, I go through phases of exercise. A year and a half ago when I turned thirty I changed a lot about my lifestyle and lost forty pounds or so, so I am generally pretty okay with how I look (which is to say I carry a lot of insecurity still but I had to buy all new clothes and I take a lot more care and pride in myself in general).

I am anxious and eager to please, which can be trouble in relationships in the long term sense, but great for getting to know someone new.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I keep myself busy. I work in a bookstore during the day (it's crap pay, but I like to stay active and on my feet, plus I love books), I do stand up comedy to some moderate regional success (I have a weekly show, and co-founded an independent comedy record label, and travel every other month for it maybe). I read a lot and love going to the movies to clear my head. Lately I have been writing songs as a therapeutic hobby, I'm self-taught and kind of okay music-wise but I enjoy writing lyrics, fuck it here's my soundcloud if you're bored:

A photographer friend of mine actually took those nice photos and when she put a few of them on her website she referred to me as "the closest thing to a philosopher comedian I've ever met," hence the username but in truth I can only make it ten pages into your Witgensteins and Schopenhauers before getting lost and giving up- but I find a lot worth thinking about. I read a lot of nonfiction on brain science and language and creativity, lately I have been a little more into poetry and other random things. With the exception of horror I love going to the movies to relax and shut my brain down. Music I have been reconnecting with lately, I write songs on a keyboard (I can sing pretty okay but I can hardly play it), and I like indie folk pop stuff that is pretty standard for a 31 year old dude to like, and lately I have been listening to more classical and soul and punk and you name it, really. Food is still kind of a blank area for me, I can make a few things and I like exploring new places, but it's a skill I have yet to make or have the time to develop.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I think the problem of being conscious beings in general is feeling the same: being trapped with the same thoughts and regrets and falling out of the moment. being yourself all the time can be exhausting and just too much the fucking same, so the top 6 not-the-same feelings for me are 1. telling jokes to strangers 2. laughter at an unexpected idea 3. orgasm 4. sleep (though the patterns of my thoughts and caffeine intake make this one difficult) 5. inebriation (moderation, as boring as that is, being the key) and bringing up the rear 6. exercise

Ideally I wish I could switch 5 and 6 in the rankings there but I am not here to lie to you
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend all (too much?) of my time thinking, let's hang out and enjoy each others' company and not think so much.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
shows, friends, drinks, something.

I guarantee that if we meet up I'll overshare, it's kind of all I do. Let's not tempt fate on the public profile.
