My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a funny, easy-going college graduate with two jobs whose life only sometimes revolves around work. I am one of those really strange people who likes to work and have been told by my acupuncturist to seek more balance. So I am...

I am also trying to see if there are any decent guys left with something other than video games to talk about. In fact being able to have a balanced conversation is important to me. So guys, use your words... ;) In other words if all you send is a Hi, then I often don't respond...

I like my family and friends above stuff, and I do my absolute best to find joy in everyday things (most of the time I am successful); I am mostly a positive person. I love to read, cook, do the movie thing, enjoy a glass of wine, exercise (when motivated), spend time at the cabin, play cards/board games, take walks and be outside in my humble garden.

I also love hockey and it's kind of a deal breaker to at least put up with it, but I would really like someone who likes it too! Go Wild! (And b/c I am from TX - Go Stars!)

I am witty, attractive, and love to laugh.

****Please note, I want to have a child someday so if that's not part of your future, let's not waste time. Good luck out there!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am in education. I work for a curriculum company and love it. I used to teach and so maybe that is part of the reason I usually feel dorky or nerdy. I see those as positive qualities.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
English stuff and cooking and teaching. I do like to think I am good listener, at least that's what I am told.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes and hair on a physical level (and sometimes my crazy socks). On a personal level, I have been told many times I am easy to talk to and a free laugher... beyond that you will have to discover that for yourself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love most food (except olives). Favorite music is also a long list so my top 3 are John Butler Trio, DMB, and U2. I like a bunch of movies too, so to name a few, the HP series, the Dragon tattoo series in Sweedish, Amelie, Mystery Alaska, French Kiss, and Zach and Miri... I like shows like the GoT, The Musketeers, Burn Notice, The Office, Parks and Rec, and I am an avid Glee fan! I know that last will send you running for the hills but oh well. It is simply too fun! I also totally sing along with it... sorry in advance.

I love to read and have too many favorites to list here, but a sample would included TFIOS, Harry Potter, Life of Pi, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Song of Fire and Ice series (and yes I watch GoT). Basically, my reading serves to reinforce my nerdiness... Which I in no way downplay. ;)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Books 2. music 3. my family (especially my mom) 4. My friends 5. my cats 6. the ability to make lists
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Wondering where my keys are, how fortunate I am to have so many wonderful people in my life, and yes, some work stuff...

Oh and silently correcting the grammar on some of these profiles. Just calling a spade a spade.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies. Reading, watching a movie, hanging out with family or friends, or trying a new restaurant with my bestie... it totally depends. If I am really lucky, I am driving to the family cabin!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can curl my tongue both ways, at the same time.

Either that's gross or kinda cool or a turn on. You decide.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You can say more than just "hi", you can carry a good conversation, are kind, know how to punctuate and spell a little, like hockey, or simply because you think I am wicked awesome! LOL

OR if you need help editing your site. I don't think perfection is required but if you spell every 4th word wrong, I am happy to help...

Note, that if all you say is hi, I probably won't respond.
