My self-summary
I'm a person looking to still discover more about the world around me and how I relate to it. People are infinitely interesting and provide a lot no matter who they are. I'm in the process of growing (again!) in all aspects of my life. All in all, though, it is great. I'm really looking for everything from friends to new things I can learn about, do, experience or see.
One thing I've noted about the questions and tests is that they force an extreme. Also, I keep finding I really am not that worried about many of the traits in other people I find interesting. It's not that I don't care, but that I can appreciate almost any trait in another person. I look for the mosaic that the person forms rather than any particular trait or traits. I look for the gestalt of the person, if you allow, not just the individual behaviors or beliefs.
What I’m doing with my life
Working my way forward by trying to improve myself mentally, emotionally and physically. I'm exploring writing as a second or alternative career, but expect I'll keep working so I can pay the bills and have some fun in life
I’m really good at
Thinking and geting other people to think. It's the philosophy major in me that always tries to get out. I have a fairly broad range of interests and experiences, so I'm more of a jack of all trades than a great specialist in one or two things. I get my hands (and body) dirty fixing, making or otherwise being constructive. I can find an answer to some of the most obscure questions, or at least make a good stab at an answer that, if nothing else, results in something interesting.
The first things people usually notice about me
I really not sure. I've heard a lot of things. I think it really depends on the circumstances in which they notice me. A fairly common one though is my eyes. I don't really know, since I can't say I've ever stared into my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Science fiction, I've been reading it all my life. I love how it is unlimited in the ideas it can discuss and it usually has some other type of story included. Any kind of story can be told in a science fiction contact ... from a romantic tale to hard science debate/discovery. I also enjoy mysteries and action thrillers. Clive Cussler is great, easy, but provacative reading (and is technically usually science fiction). Agatha Christie always leaves me enthralled. And I really got into the early Patricia Cornwall. Always looking for something new and different.
Food: I love trying just about anything new, but always enjoy a good pasta or sashimi/sushi japanese dinner. I love all kinds of fish. Fruits and vegetables I find delicious and will gladly sit down to a huge dinner salad as my only food for the sitting.
Movies: Okay, I enjoy science fiction movies, when they are well done. To often though, they are campy or have a weak story line. So, I end up watching a lot of action movies, because I don't EXPECT a great story line. I love great special effects. I enjoy a good comedy, but so many are really just trite with no real substance. I'm open to most movies, and if they are good, I appreciate them. Whether old or new, a good story is really the key.
Music: Generally love rock and roll, from the fifties through today. However, an occasional time listening to Big Band or classical isn't out of the question. I'm always looking for something I haven't heard before or haven't heard in a long time. I enjoy live concerts, but the cost has gotten way out of hand.
Shows: I've seen some I really like, but can't say I've ever had anyone around that will pick out the better ones to see with me. So I'm open to the experience, but can't say I've really pursued it much.
The six things I could never do without
Curiosity
Physical contact
New information
The universe around me (and not necessarily just nearby)
Joy and love
And, of course, my children
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I'd like to think about you! Otherwise I think about almost anything and everything, including the concept of everything. I'm just constantly thinking. My mind tends to be rather flitting and I can be joking one moment or serious the next, so I think about keeping my mind grounded. I think a lot about people and relationships and the world I perceive around me, how it impacts on people, things and me. The universe is my toy box of ideas. Care to play?
On a typical Friday night I am
Wondering about what I could be doing, or planning what I'll do or a project I'm working on over the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Depends on to whom I'm talking and the status of the relationship. Ultimately I hope anything I'm willing to admit to myself, I'm willing to admit to someone with whom I'm involved
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 36–55
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
You find me interesting and might want to know more. I'm pretty open about both my abilities and faults and my life in general. I try to be honest and forthcoming about myself and what I perceive. I like to discuss just about anything and am open to almost any kind of discussion. Ultimately, I'd like to find that extra special person for my life right now, and maybe your it. So take a chance and say hello.
