What I’m doing with my life
After having recently graduated with a degree in psychology in 2007 and working for a nonprofit for about three years, I decided to go back to college and pursue a degree in nursing. Eventually, I want to move to Atlanta or abroad and work as a pediatric nurse.

I enjoy the outdoors (camping, hiking, or white water rafting anyone?); I enjoy photography, cooking, doodling, decorating, painting, ceramics, and singing (but don't worry it's only in the shower and the car). I really want to learn how to sew so that I can make cute stuffed animals for patients.

I’m really good at
Taking care of others and making them smile. Humor is the best medicine in my opinion.

Baking. I make amazing cakes and cookies, and of course it is always fun decorating them too.

Surprising people and apparently I have the best surprised face ever too.

Being sexy, according to cyanoptic, whose opinion on these matters is unimpeachable.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: While being inundated in nursing textbooks and other books during college and after reading enough for a lifetime in high school (yay college prep!), I am taking a break and reading things that are a little lighter like magazines, cook books, and books that are for the soul. Some of my favorite authors include: Vonnegut, Palahniuk, Salinger, Wharton, and Remarque.

Currently reading: Tinkers by Paul Harding and Lit by Mary Karr. Both for my English class, but they are interesting so far.

Movies: Little Miss Sunshine, The Incredibles, American Beauty, The Constant Gardener, White Oleander, Saving Face, A Walk to Remember, Saved, The Butterfly Effect, foreign films especially Amélie, and old Disney movies. Really I just like movies that can make me laugh, think, or just relax. I do not watch horror films.

Television: House, Medium, Georgia football, Ghost Whisperer, Mystery Diagnosis, Tori and Dean, Say Yes to the Dress, Red Sox and Atlanta Braves baseball, Pretty Little Liars, BBC, Hoarders, Clean House, Golden Girls, Sex and the City, and old cartoons.

Food: I like to cook and discover new things to eat and recipes to make. Fan of the Hungry Girl and Dr. Oz recipes, but I especially like Chinese, Japanese, Indian food, raw fruits and vegetables, and other healthy and delicious foods. I do have a deep dark secret of being a pizza and macaroni and cheese lover. I have yet to find a healthy but tasty macaroni and cheese recipe.

The six things I could never do without
-Family (including my pets) and friends; they are the most important people in the world.
-Cookbooks because I honestly can't cook without a recipe, and I like trying new things in the kitchen.
-Glasses and/or contacts; I am as blind as a bat without them.
-Chapstick-- I hate chapped lips. Burt's Bees and Lip gloss are my best friends.
-My trusty stethoscope.
-Laughter.
