Just barely keeping my head above water.

Wow. Been a while. Went through some massive changes in a matter of weeks, and they're all catching up to me. I'll need to adjust my profile at some point. *sigh.* Hate writing about myself.

Being sick sucks. I've been laid up for at least five days, and I don't think I'll be in any shape to go in to the office tomorrow.

Don't mind me; I'm just bein' all "woe is me" and crap.

Path of Least Resistance

So, Saturday. Decided to go out that night anyway, despite having no overt plans with anyone, and try something new: I drove without a goal in mind.

I put a couple of rules on my destination-less ambling, though; I'd only take a left turn if I had a green arrow, and I'd only take a right turn if I could turn right on red.

For the most part, I think I was successful. The first time I tried it, I ended up at the Spenard Bosco's during their Magic open gaming night. Not really my thing, and I didn't have a deck, but they were offering a free Marvel graphic novel with the purchase of two other Marvel GN's, so I ended up with the Thunderbolts, vol 1, Secret Invasion She-Hulk, the new Savage She Hulk GN, and Alias, vol 2.

I'm not a Skrull, by the way. I don't know what you've heard.

Oh! And Disney's Incredibles, issue one. They kept the tone of the movie very well! I was pleased.

So after my run at the comic shop, I headed out and started on my path again. This time I ended up all the way on Dimond. Good thing, too, because my stomach was beginning to growl - and that's when I noticed a new sushi joint had opened up: "Haru Sushi." I'll say this: their dinner bento is freakin' huge. They might want to tone down portion a bit. But their beef terriyaki was delicious.

And of course, I couldn't leave without actually having some sushi, so I ordered something called the 911 roll. I'm pretty sure it was a big chunk of tuna rolled in cayenne pepper, topped with avocado (love that stuff) and something else spicy that I couldn't place, but it was really terrific. And I told them so. My exact words were, I think, "This thing's full of WIN."

So all in all, I think that worked out pretty well. It was fun, and if I find myself spoiling for something to do, I'll try it again next weekend.

This has certainly been an interesting week. I jumped into OKCupid with both feet, and I'm glad for it.

I'm going outside my comfort-zone this weekend. I've decided that I'm going to a bar and... and... interact. With people. Scary thought, but I'm excited!

I think I just got addicted to TV Carnage and Everything is Terrible today.

I uh...I'm gonna go back to those sites now. Bye!
