My self-summary
I think silly is the best state of mind. I love words - I've even got favorite categories of words. I'm obsessed with movies. Whenever I watch Iron Chef I crave gourmet food. I love surprises and places I've never been. Mold really grosses me out; that and scary movies. I can be disciplined except when it comes to sweets; dessert is my kryptonite. Unearthing long lost friendships makes me ridiculously happy - as do fantastic books on cloudy days. I absolutely, positively LOVE to travel, I'll go anywhere.

I am playful, curious, and quick to laugh
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working on my Masters degree in Communication. One day, not too long from now, I'll be conquering the world with my messaging strategy and very loud high-heels. But until then, I'm readjusting to LA after 7 months working at Yellowstone National Park and finishing up at school. I like to hike, go to museums, tell terrible jokes, go exploring, watch movies, and listen to Pandora.
I’m really good at
Making conversation with anyone, anywhere, on any subject. Story time: my friend took me to get my nails done where she goes. I told the guy painting my nails that I was mastering in communication. He started with, "Not going to be a doctor? Not going to be an engineer?" By the end of the manicure, he said "I know why you're in communication!" So yeah. Conversation I can do.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm chatty. And I have a nose ring. And a curiously loud laugh for someone so short.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Casablanca, The Godfather, The Princess Bride, The Usual Suspects, My Cousin Vinny, vintage Disney, Shawshank Redemption, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Roman Holiday, GoodFellas, Midnight in Paris, The Incredibles, Singin' in the Rain, Pathar Panchalli, It Happened One Night, Gone with the Wind

Books: The Great Gatsby, Tulips and Chimneys, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Self-Reliance, The Prophet, All Quiet on The Western Front, Harry Potter series, Oh! The Places You'll Go!, The Vagina Monologues, Calvin and Hobbes, East of Eden, Etudes, Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic, anything by Oscar Wilde, Garrison Keillor ... and so on, and so forth.

Shows: The West Wing, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, 30 Rock, Firefly, Top Chef, Mad Men, Sports Night, Archer, The Soup, Game of Thrones, New Girl, The Mindy Project, House of Cards, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, those cool Ken Burns documentaries (specifically Prohibition).

Music: A little bit of everything, though I can't handle Dubstep. Dubstep makes me physically anxious.

Food: I'll try almost anything once. I haven't had too many things I don't like - though, that's not a challenge! And dessert is still the way to my heart.
The six things I could never do without
"Never" is a big word. I moved to India for two years after college and learned that there are a lot of things I can live without. Like electricity on Thursdays. Or Mexican food. But somewhere a girl's got to draw the line:

1) Caffeine
2) Belly laughs with good friends
3) Internet access
4) Have I mentioned caffeine?
5) An unlined notebook and old fashioned ink pen
6) Books

Alternate: Unexpected daytime adventures
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Words, politics, upcoming episodes of The Mindy Project, where my next cocktail will be, traveling, feminism, and peanut M&Ms.
On a typical Friday night I am
On Friday nights you can find me parked at a bar plotting undercover capers with my friends and roommates. Maps and blueprints are often involved, but I can't talk about it here. You understand.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I drive a giant green minivan, affectionately called The Turtle, and she's ferried me and my ilk on many an adventure including that one trip to Vegas we promised to forget.

That and my crush on Brian Williams.
