I'm new to DC after completing my PhD at UNC. I've been focusing on my career for a while, but am ready to get back out there. I love to travel (though I haven't been able to in a while) and I can't wait to see the rest of the world.
I am kind, driven, and funny. I can be kind of shy at first, but once you get to know me I'm really open and fun.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently doing a science policy fellowship that has placed me at NIH.
I’m really good at
I'm a really good listener, my friends know they can trust me so
they vent all of their problems to me. I'm a good problem solver,
which is probably why I'm in a science since nothing ever works the
first time you try it.
The first things people usually notice about me
My beard, I guess. You tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: American Gods, Game of Thrones, Name of the Wind, The Wise Man's Fear, The Passage, Farseer Trilogy, Harry Potter (of course), The Commonwealth Saga, anything in the scifi/fantasy realm.
Food: Sushi, BBQ, and ice cream
The six things I could never do without
Friends, good food, traveling, my sarcastic sense of humor,
cooking, and warm weather
I spend a lot of time thinking about
current issues and events, career, friends, and where I want to go
on vacation next!
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with my friends and being social - it always revolves
around good people, good food, and good drinks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Hmmm, I'll have to thing about this
You should message me if
If you like what you've read and like stimulating conversations.
