What I’m doing with my life

having completed two years in the work force and been exposed to the goods and bads of corporate america, i'm turning a new leaf and becoming a student once again. i'm now pursuing my masters in environmental science and management. 2 years from now i plan on solving all of worlds problems...in the meantime, see you in santa barbara.

I’m really good at

caring about other people, which i'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. i can listen pretty darn well, but that doesn't mean you should talk my ear off about yourself. i like to sing in the car, in the bathroom, on bart (more like lip syncing), in my sleep. i'm also very good at eating just about everything on my plate, then offering you the last bits of it because i can be very selfish when it comes to food (i'm really working on this one.)

coffee ice cream, fish tacos, korean bbq, salt&pepper chicken, vietnamese sandwiches (bbq chicken, please), horchata, lightly sweetened jasmine green tea...i can't escape my very asian palette.

love, love, LOVE soulful music. whether it's neosoul, soulful house, afro beats, latin beats, etc. grew up on late 80s/early 90s r&b, fell in love with salsa and world music, but can dance to just about anything dance-able.

not a very selective movie watcher, though netflix is really opening up a world of classics. am open to many genres except horror...just can't wrap my head around why i'd want to watch it.

i find myself conflicted often by things i read in the news and helpless that there is realistically not much i can do to help. BUT, on a happier note, i never stop thinking about traveling. sometimes i wake up and check flight prices to somewhere in the world, anywhere.
