My self-summary
Well, I dunno. I'm me, I guess. I like talking to people about things--usually pretty geeky things. I've just finished a degree in English, and have come to England for work and an adventure!

I used to live in New Zealand, I'm geeky, and hopefully interesting.

At the moment I live with one of my Dad's old school friends and his cat. The cat doesn't like me much, but I choose to believe that's because he's a surly old man rather than a reflection on myself!

This year I want to do lots of exciting new things like travel and things.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm having an adventure as I start being a proper person after finishing uni. And by having an adventure I mean faffing about London. Now I'm in Sheffield working the glamourous life of a call centre peon.

I would eventually like to be able to support myself and a hamster in one of those space-pod things.

EDIT: I would live in a flat. The hamster would live in the space-pod. Because I'm not that tiny or keen on scrabbling up a plastic tube to get to bed/food.
I’m really good at
Reading, sewing, knitting, talking, typing (sorta), staying up all night, watching movies, nerding out about things, terrible jokes... Oh, and I'm a really good cook.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've got boobs. And glasses. And a loud laugh. And I'm quite short. And I wear amusing t-shirts. I have a funny accent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Let's just make a list because it's hard to read and you've probably already closed this tab in favour of something else.

Telly: Doctor Who, Sherlock, Being Human, Merlin, House, Game of Thrones, Mythbusters, Boston Legal... I dabble in lots of genres at varying levels of enthusiasm. I have failed to get into Supernatural properly, and choose to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer instead. It's basically the same show, except it has Anthony Stewart Head.

Recent movies I have liked include: Burlesque, Megamind, Django Unchained, The Avengers, Thor, Die Hard, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Brave Little Toaster, Moulin Rouge, Casino Royale (old version)... I've got a pretty eclectic taste in movies, I can go for a brassy blockbuster or a quiet indie thing.

I like anime (although I don't get to watch as much of that as I might like!) and webcomics (QC, Girls With Slingshots, I loved Freakangels as well...)

One day I will own an X-Box and play Assassin's Creed and Portal 2 all the way through. Till then, Minecraft! I OWN AN X-BOX. But not a TV. My life is made up of obstacles.

OH MAN. I almost forgot books. Okay, books. I own seventeen banana boxes of books, and did Literature at school for fun. Here's what I have read/thought about recently:

The Once and Future King, Terry Pratchett's Discworld, The Night Circus, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, His Dark Materials, Professor Challenger (and if you know who that is without looking him up you get a prize), Neil Gaiman's Sandman (and other books, obv), The Hound of the D'Urbevilles, The Hobbit. Do comics count? 'cause I read them too, sometimes.
The six things I could never do without
The internet
My cell phone
My generic mp3 player (RIP iPod)
A book
People
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Books and writing, exercise (and how much I don't want to do it >.>), my friends and family, the future, my cat, books, movies, toys.

ALSO have you noticed how like every guy on here has read 1984? It's really bizarre.
On a typical Friday night I am
Ideally I'd be at the pub or at a gig or at a theatre or the movies with a bunch of mates. Or a house-party. Or just on an adventure.

Otherwise, I'm sitting around at home reading and playing with Lego.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to write Pirates of the Caribbean fan-fiction. I read Fifty Shades of Grey for Science. It was terrible. I am ashamed.
