My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am from Atlanta, GA, so I guess you can call me the classic southern gentleman. My parents were New Yorkers, so I have a little of the Northern vibe. Overall, I'm just another man trying to find his place in this monster of a world we live in. I live, I travel, I question, I search for love. I miss the thought of fallin for somebody.

If you want, I'll put a spell on you :)

I am lover of words.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from a small college in Atlanta in 2010 with a BA in English. I worked a lot of different jobs in education. I helped kids develop reading and writing skills geared towards success on the SAT/ACT and developing reading comprehension. I used to teach high school English briefly. So now I recently accepted a job as the coordinator of multicultural recruitment with a local college in the area. I also work with a lot of community based organizations to promote and implement better means of college access and financial aid.

I do a lot of traveling for my job (New Orleans, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, New Mexico, Arizona, all over New England, etc.)

Since I just moved to the area of New England, I was hoping to meet some cool people and hopefully make some good friends along the way. It was be to find somebody who can show me around the area and introduce me to some cool spots. I am quite a fan of learning something new. I love engaging in conversations about other cultures, history, music, literature, theater/opera, sports, etc. I just love meeting people who are open-minded and can enjoy a good exchange of words and ideas.

I have also taken a more invested interest in getting more acclimated to the Puerto Rican side of my heritage. Growing up in the south, I didn't have as much access to that side of my history. But now that I am in Holyoke, MA an area with the most fascinating history and a major cultural hub for the Puerto Rican population in western Mass, i am curious to soak up as much as I can.

Studying history and digging through books in the library fall under my vices :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have a few hobbies I have developed over the years. The most favorite of the bunch would be playing harmonica. I love the blues and enjoy writing music. I also love playing basketball. I have also started getting back into writing lyrics, spoken-word, and comedy. I love hip hop/rap and love to get down to some good beats.

Cooking has also been one of my hobbies. Momma showed me early ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
that I am mixed with something. (I'll save ya the trouble: Half Black and Puerto Rican.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My harmonicas.
A basketball.
Record Player.
A good whiskey, bourbon, or scotch.
My father's watch.
The touch of a woman.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Finding the person who is 100% my enemy (according to okc) and challenging them to a duel.

How Aziz Ansari's description of the current dating scene is spot on (and saddens me):

My narrative and the legacy I hope to leave behind. I want to do right by my father's name.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Practicing the harmonica, listening to my records while drinking whiskey or scotch in my rocking chair (yes...I have a rocking chair and it is amazing.) I also occasionally go out to the local booze slingers, but it's kinda tough when you rollin solo. Trying to change that up.

I would love to start seeing some lives shows up around here rap, rock, jazz, blues, folk, classical, anything! I try to mix it up.

I have been playing with a couple of the local guitar players in the Pioneer Valley as of late. So you might catch me at an open mic or performing at a live show.

I also look for random adventures and excursions to go on.
