My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Anxious, queer, leftist kiwi dude with fuzzy edges. Desultory. Trying to be well-read; failing.

I can never decide on the appropriate length of my beard, so I range from lumberjackesque to Hollywood designer stubble. I am always drinking coffee. I like boys and girls who wear suits. I'm trying to write in longer sentences.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Studying in London. Drinking wine in a new bar with a good book. Hiding under my covers. Listening to R&B and rap and good pop.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Undercut, beard, how good I look in a suit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

These sections always get too long, so here is a small selection of my favourite books:
- Milan Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness of Being
- Jean-Paul Sartre, Nausea
- Kurt Vonnegut, Breakfast of Champions
- Sergio de la Pava, A Naked Singularity

I also love books by China Mieville, any of the Brontes, Hilary Mantel, Roberto Bolano, David Foster Wallace, Junot Diaz, and many other authors. I'm iffy on Atwood.

I like lots of film and TV. My favourite directors are Haneke and Kaufman. My favourite films are All About My Mother, The Baader Meinhof Complex, and I Am Love. I watch The Thick of It, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Seinfeld, and lots more besides.

Hip-hop and R&B are my favourites. I currently like Kevin Gates, Cassie, Mister Motherfuckin' Exquire, Yeezy, The-Dream, Big Boi, old-school Outkast, Shabazz Palaces, Heems, Joey Badass, and most other shit with a good flow or a decent beat. I have a big soft spot for Rufus Wainwright, the fiery nimbus of my loins.

I'm vegetarian, and love salty, earthy, dark, pungent foods: olives, eggplant, marmite, dark red wines, vinegary chips, coffee. My risottos usually have more gorgonzola than rice.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. the ability to answer inane internet questions
2. the ability to terminate lists prematurely
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Anti-capitalism, politics, social justice, sexism/racism/homophobia, how soon until I can get a coffee next, science, red wine, literature, the construction of social systems of power and how law fits into that, etymology, why I'm not drunk yet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trimming my beard.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like being the little spoon.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you will buy me these: http://tinyurl.com/ng2k2l4

If you want to be a writer some day, too, but are scared you'll be no good at it.

If you will teach me how to wear a scarf with a button up shirt. It's impossible.

On a more serious note: Please don't message me with "wow ur hot" or any variants. I'm only interested in meeting people who I can actually hold a conversation with.

I usually don't message people first, so if you'd like to get in touch, feel free to say hi.
