I am thinking, about, and your mother.

My Self-Summary

So I tried okc a while back and I met some great people, tho nothing long term... so wtf, I'm trying it again. I'm a funemployed environmental professional, sharp wit, bikes everywhere, reads liberal screeds like the new yorker and thinks obama is too conservative, has seen "the room" four times, goes to indie shows on a budget, spends most afternoons in the haight getting distracted at coffee shops while making friends with the staff and attempting to look for jobs in my ever-shrinking profession.

I love this city and live here because I can make the most of it even if it means letting the #@!## below my window keep skating at 2 AM. At least until I shoot them. But it also means dolores park, the way everyone hates on hipsters but nobody is a hipster, how we have the berry best produce ever, more weird cultural events than I could ever go to, evah, the community garden and the compost team, the casual use of 'hella' in conversation, the reaction from people when I talk to them but don't quite look them in the eyes, focusing instead on the left ear. I tell you, it drives them mad! But don't worry, I won't do it to you.

Big plusses for street smarts, sharp sense of humor, a certain irreverence and sense of absurd, outspoken liberal politics, depth of musical knowledge, love of pies and other baked goods, or even interest in a tennis match. and yes, be cute.

update: boy did they get my dating persona wrong. I took one test and apparently not cheating on people or not doing it with animals gets you the snoozer-loser award. Just so we're straight, I am skeptical of convention and routine and enjoy great, mind-blowing sex. But hey, f.u. to the staff robot anyways! Though it is true that I am a happy, positive s.o.b. overall...

What I’m doing with my life

Being between jobs right now makes me much more active in non-job stuff, I mean that's obvious right, but I get out in the community every week with some sort of volunteering or gardening or hucksterism. Sometime I sell pies in dolores park.

I’m really good at

fixing bikes, gardening, being out in the city, baking pies, fun tennis, hiking, watching tons and tons of movies and abusing my netflix on demand privileges.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have a beard so my gay friends can take me to bear clubs. Oh that was probably tmi

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

los books: confederacy of dunces, cadillac desert, the inimitable jeeves, the sound and the fury, city of quartz, angle of repose, a fool's progress (go Edward Abbey!), under the banner of heaven, omnivore's dilemma. now reading: imperial san francisco. I love "Secret" california history!

los movies: THE ROOM, the shining, brazil, rosemary's baby, suspiria, dolemite, the party (best peter sellers movie!)

los musics: pixies, gang of four, dungen, magnetic fields, junior boys, pete & the pirates, wild beasts, of montreal, radiohead, animal collective, the frogs, quintron and miss pussycat.

los foods: almost anything I can put in my mouth that doesn't bite or wiggle. why did that sound so gross? I love to eat new things.

If you think there's something I would like, please let me know! Especially scary movies-- I have seen so few truly scary films... most are just gross.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

everything. custard fillings. our political quagmire. mexican masks of chiapas. the imperiled state of lake baikal. the future of condors on tejon ranch. the best dive bar in the mission.

On a typical Friday night I am

I view tuesday as the new friday, so this question should really be "On a Typical Tuesday Night I am" And thursdays and sundays are the new saturdays. But on saturdays I tend to bake pie. It gets confusing.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

your mom is an appropriate response to many interesting questions. as well as your face. also, "custard filling" refers to pie baking and not some oblique wack-off reference. I prefer to be direct with those.

You should message me if

If you know the murder suspect rodney stanger. If not, I suggest you youtube this at once. Also if you are funny, sharp, in decent shape, cute.
