I am sweet, savory, and curious.
My Self-Summary
Well hello there. Is your interest piqued by a saucy mujer who can
bounce between heady political discussions and the humor of a 16
year old boy, laughs (and does so often) at her own mistakes, feels
just as comfortable sipping martinis (the drier the better) at the
latest lounge as she does in the outdoors paddling on the water or
hiking in the high sierras, has mad risotto makin’ skills and can
check your car’s tire pressure in stylish yet comfortable high
heels, then my friend, you’re in bidness.
I'll leap at the chance to add a stamp to my passport. Recently I
returned from a great 3 week trip to New Zealand. (So strange to
see spring blossoms in October!) Finding something interesting, or
at least amusing, in the unexpected is a favorite pastime.
I’m drawn to someone who challenges me and when life gets tough can
be kind and supportive. I promise to do the same. I’m more
sentimental than I let on.
What I’m doing with my life
In the past 10 years I've lived in Philly, NYC, North Carolina and
Latin America, but it's now that I'm happy to be back in Bay Area.
At times, I feel like an odd hybrid of a casual west coaster and a
‘tell it like it is’ east coaster. I've gone from a career in
language travel to international marketing to deciding I'd rather
use my powers for good. The past 5 years have been a wild ride
establishing a career counseling little people.
When the sun is out or even when it isn’t, I enjoy being active.
Being a part-time sea kayaking and rafting guide keeps life
interesting.
I’m really good at
Makin' bad puns on the fly, whipping up a strawberry/rhubarb/ginger
tart (I refuse to think such culinary magic was a one time deal)
and finding ways to amuse myself which often leads to chuckles from
the people near me.
The first things people usually notice about me
My blue eyes and the ability to make just about anybody feel at
ease... or so my roommate says.
The six things I could never do without
Familia y amigos, my trusty swiss army knife with wine opener,
belly laughs, plans for future adventures big or small, PG Tips and
hope (okay, so counting isn't my forte.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Where's the fun in that? Come closer and I'll whisper it in your
ear.
You should message me if
If humor rates high on your life list of 'must haves', you’re
curious about the world, would rather be physically active outside
than inside, confident enough to communicate openly and directly
about sensitive subjects, enjoy time outdoors, can stomach my bad
puns (or at least fake it) and you’re able to bounce between
NPR/NYT and the horror/rapture of pop culture then things are
looking good already.
