I'm very happy with my life right now. I have an amazing job. I have wonderful friends. I have time to create. Life, in general, is beautiful.

I love music - all kinds. It makes my world go 'round. I'm a singer/songwriter, a poet, and an aspiring guitarist among other things. I like to bake ... mostly to satisfy my near constant craving for pastries.

What I’m doing with my life

Working 9am to 6pm. Singing, writing, cooking, eating, seeing or doing something artistic, and/or general merry-making 6pm-2am. Sleeping 2am-8am. Doing it all over again.

Listening. Being straightforward and honest. Making folks laugh when they aren't having a good day. Being a mess. Actin' a fool. Wailing on high soprano notes. Baking cakes. Spontaneously coordinated booty shaking with my best friend.

Books: Reading "The Gift" by Lewis Hyde...very interesting.

Movies: Being John Malkovich, The Matrixes, An American Tail, Run Lola Run, Amelie, Amores Perros, The Color Purple, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Amandla, Finding Nemo, surrealist film of the 1920s.

Music: oh there are so many...recently into Jenny Wilson, Sara Tavares, and Yasmin Levy.

Food: Yams!

The six things I could never do without

Music, friends/family, love, food, laughter, alone time

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything. Music. The collaborative creative process. Politics. Existential crises. People that I love. Trying to figure out how I'm going to help make the world a better place (sounds trite, but it's true).

On a typical Friday night I am

Relaxing at home with friends and a bottle of wine, going to see an artistic performance of some sort and/or going to a local dive bar and chillin. I like to go dancing on occasion.
