A sense of humor is a top priority. You need to laugh every day. Goofballs are most definitely welcome to apply. I enjoy conversations about everything from politics to pollination. Travel is super important. I've been all over, but there are always new places to visit, as well as old favorites to share. My most recent trips include Key West and Seattle/Portland, Austin, Philadelphia, New Glarus, Sonoma and SanFrancisco.
Some of my favorites include: Garfield Park Conservatory, Lula Cafe, Scrabble, Brussels sprouts, beets, Thai food, Almodovar, Weezer, Beck, Beastie Boys, Sandra Cisneros, singing to my adorable kitties (only two), and pie in any form.
I love riding my bike around town, swimming, yoga, eating out, visiting museums, taking cooking classes, stopping by farmers markets, reading, sleeping, live music, all the basics. I'm not too cool for roller coasters, sappy poems, or go-carts. I love to be read to and have my back scratched.
I am really looking for someone who lives in Chicago. The suburbs are great, but I'm a city girl. Also important, please have a reasonably firm command of the English language. I AM a teacher, for goodness sake.
