A sense of humor is a top priority. You need to laugh every day. Goofballs are most definitely welcome to apply. I enjoy conversations about everything from politics to pollination. Travel is super important. I've been all over, but there are always new places to visit, as well as old favorites to share. My most recent trips include Key West, Seattle/Portland, Austin, Philadelphia, New Glarus, Sonoma and SanFrancisco. I went to Ireland over the summer. Rode horses, drove on the wrong side of the road, and sampled lots of beer and culture.
I love riding my bike around town (just had a new one custom made), swimming, yoga, eating out, visiting museums, taking cooking classes, stopping by farmers markets, reading, sleeping, live music, all the basics. I'm not too cool for roller coasters, sappy poems, or go-carts. I love to be read to and have my back scratched. I have a small piano that I don't know how to use. Come play something for me, and I'll sing. I also make a decent dirty vodka martini and a mean Manhattan.
I am really looking for someone who lives in Chicago. The suburbs are great, but I'm a city girl. Also important, please have a reasonably firm command of the English language. I AM a teacher, for goodness sake.
