Born and raised in NYC, first generation American, child of Holocaust survivors. Not defined by my past but informed by it. If you are articulate, educated, cultured and well traveled, single, monogamous and local to Atlanta and love your work we may have a similar world view.. Like attracts like. Here's what makes me different...upon first breath in the morning I say a prayer of gratitude to the Creator. I practice radical self-acceptance and compassion. I live one day at a time with grace, compassion and dignity. I try to shed my fear and anger and choose the path of love. I do not resist discomfort but embrace it as a part of life and try to envision the spiritual solution to challenges in the world of effects. I practice yoga on and off the mat and know that attachment to outcome is the cause of suffering. I'm curious and grateful. I'm blessed to have choices and know it.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a passport and use it. Cambodia, Guatemala, Belize, Europe, Peru. I like to walk on the beach in remote parts of the planet. But also in Florida (lol).I teach music, classical piano and creative drama to kids (and their parents) and am the director of a group of teachers doing the same. I travel when I can, both nationally and abroad. I watch alot of indie movies, I practice yoga and meditate. I'm reflective and intuitive.
We are all in this together and there is more than enough to go around. Liberal hippie/artist/service oriented ethical entrepeneur.
I’m really good at
Getting in alignment with the field of potential through my thoughts
Letting go of old stories...
Inspiring little kids to be creative..
Detaching with LOVE
Telling the truth...
Planning a great adventure...
Being a loving mother and grandma...
Playing the piano...
The first things people usually notice about me
That I am smart as well as sexy
That I look 20 years younger than my chronological age
My style of dressing and blonde, spikey hair
That I am cool, hot and humbly self-assured.
That I know who I am and speak my truth.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Alchemist, The Four Agreements, anything by Pema Chodran, the Yoga Sutras, Kabbalah texts. The Unteathered Soul. The Spirituality of Imperfection, The Surrender Experiment. I am a movie buff and sporadically, a voracious reader. All music moves me in some way and is the universal human expression (teaching music and piano...I admit I'm biased). I watched all 4 seasons of Luther in one sitting so if you look like Idris Elba...you are seriously my type!
The six things I could never do without
In the last analysis, I could do without everything except the
serenity that comes from a strong relationship with something
greater than myself. Resilience is the key. And breathing in and
out. I came in alone and that's how I'm going out..despite all the
illusion of security.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I AM love while I am waiting to be in love. How life is an experiment. How to grow in serenity through acceptance of what is. Why people are afraid of the unknown and the other. Why it is so difficult for me to meet someone who really engages my interest. How to accept the fact that I am really selective. How it is not really necessary for me to have so many opinions...
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at a movie, out to dinner with good friends, at home with
the doggies. I have no problem with down time, either alone or in
good company. Isolation and solitude are very different
practices....I value the latter and do not engage in the former.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You are kidding, right?
You should message me if
You speak my language. If you understand that meaningful connection
starts with friendship and that it takes time to create real trust.
Anything else is just a distraction.
