My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Please read this so you will get a sense of my perspective and to avoid wasting time...If you are articulate, educated, cultured and well traveled, single, monogamous and local to Atlanta and love your work we may have a similar world view.....
I am someone who craves intellectual stimulation as well as serenity. One of my virtues is resilience. Another is curiosity. I've learned to accept life on life's terms and pursue emotional sobriety through various spiritual programs. I know the difference between "want" and "need". I am not the friend who has the patience for endless dumping of your emotional baggage. Meditate, do the work and be guided to do the next right thing. I unpack my baggage on my own and in fellowship with like minded folks. The idea of victimization is unappealing.I choose acceptance and compassion with clear boundaries. I am informed but not defined by my past relationships or earlier life traumas. I feel I am blessed to be having this human experience and that everything is a lesson and an opportunity for growth. I personally want to share the best parts of myself with other humans. Like attracts like. I am becoming more discerning as I gracefully age.. Coupling for the sake of coupling holds no interest for me. Soul mates? Aren't we all part of the great collective soul? It's where we are on our journey that makes us compatible. And, clearly, we are all at different points. I'd love to encounter someone fine and refined who is where I am emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally. A conscious individual who recognizes that trust is built slowly through shared experiences and created memories. All else is myth and illusion......Hence the divorce rate!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I teach music, classical piano and creative drama to kids (and their parents) and am the director of a group of teachers doing the same. I travel when I can, both nationally and abroad. I watch alot of indie movies, I practice yoga and meditate. I'm reflective and intuitive.
I believe that whatever you focus on is what expands and that my purpose is to live in a way that proves this principle.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making gratitude lists...
Letting go of old stories...
Inspiring little kids to be creative..
Allowing individuals to be on their own journey...
Telling the truth...
Self acceptance...
Planning a great adventure...
Being a loving mother and grandma...
Playing the piano...
And...well...you know...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am smart as well as sexy
That I look 20 years younger than my chronological age
My style of dressing and blonde, spikey hair
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Please! No one cares about this anyway. When I'm with you..I'm not gonna be reading. Once we get to know each other we may come up for air and go to the movies but not likely in the beginning! I am a movie buff and sporadically, a voracious reader. All music moves me in some way and is the universal human expression (teaching music and piano...I admit I'm biased). I watched all 4 seasons of Luther in one sitting so if you look like Idris Elba...you are seriously my type!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In the last analysis, I could do without everything except the serenity that comes from a strong relationship with something greater than myself. Resilience is the key. And breathing in and out. I came in alone and that's how I'm going out..despite all the illusion of security.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I AM love while I am waiting to be in love. The idea of radical acceptance. How life is an experiment.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either at a movie, out to dinner with good friends, at home with the doggies. I have no problem with down time, either alone or in good company. Isolation and solitude are very different practices....I value the latter and do not engage in the former.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

You speak my language. If you understand that meaningful connection starts with friendship and that it takes time to create real trust. Anything else is just a distraction.
