I am romantic, energetic, and extremely silly..

My Self-Summary

I am an avid supporter and practitioner of all creative endeavors. My strengths and interests lay more in writing and performing, though I love to dabble in all the arts. I love reading, listening to music, and watching movies. My tastes are eclectic and non-specific. If it moves me then I like it, unabashedly. I enjoy quiet evenings at home and the occasional sojourn to a lively social gathering, wherever that might be. I am intelligent, irrepressibly goofy, and love interacting with like-minded people. And anything else I'm supposed to include here will have to wait, since I honestly have no earthly idea what that should entail...this is all very new to me, I must admit (heh heh).

What I’m doing with my life

Well, my day job is in the ever exciting world of retail...and the rest of my time is spent writing, performing in a sketch comedy troupe, playing tennis, reading, listening to my iPod, etc... I am a very social creature, but- since moving back to the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area after a 10 year absence- have had a pretty limited social life.

I’m really good at

If it involves trivial knowledge, strategic thinking, or adept hand-eye coordination, then I am really REALLY good at it!

The first things people usually notice about me

My animated personality, or maybe my hair (red, courtesy of L'Oreal).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Far too many to answer accurately, so I'll pick at random from each... Books: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls, Lamb by Christopher Moore, Drowned Hopes by Donald E. Westlake, and anything by Dave Barry.
Movies: Dead Poet's Society, Titanic, Wedding Singer, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Dark Knight, Juno, Memento, and Dangerous Liasons.
Music: Barenaked Ladies, REM, Simon & Garfunkel, Everclear, Nirvana, Kings of Leon, Prince, Violent Femmes, The White Stripes, and naturally The Beatles.
Food: Seafood, Mexican, Chinese, Italian, and anything sweet and spicy.

The six things I could never do without

Books, music, my cell phone, my favorite pen and notebook (which I realize is two things, but one is useles without the other), my eyesight, and my sense of humor.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything and nothing... I spend plenty of time thinking, but I much prefer "doing". Because that's where life's truest possibilities reside.

On a typical Friday night I am

Relaxing at home (since I work Saturday morning), or making the occasional foray to downtown Ann Arbor (or Ypsi or Royal Oak...there are gads of cool cities in Southeast Michigan after all) and seeing where my fancy takes me. I like the unpredictable serendipity of spontaneous choices.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am incapable of growing a beard or mustache. My manhood bristles, even if my face will not.

You should message me if

My lack of facial hair does not cause you great distress. :j
