My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Here's what you get you if you've done the work: No more stupid stuff from the past plaguing you, no more missing what's important, no more taking anyone for granted. Plus, if you're lucky, you still look good and sail through situations that make a lot of other people nervous. I guess that's confidence. I am witty and serious - together at last! - as well as silly and intellectual and sensitive and caring, with a well-developed conscience and sense of right and wrong.
Here's what I want: A beautiful, sexy, down-to-earth woman - indie or a little bohemian are just fine - to go to the farmer's market with me on Sunday, kick around Fells Point, haunt hidden dives, spin records, muck around weird places, drive to the beach with the music on or off, sleep in, eat out, cook, kiss, laugh, shadowbox, soothe, excite . . . Someone who knows a little about old things, isn't hooked on TV but likes movies, music, art and has read enough to know what she's talking about.
I'm creative, funny, reactive, cerebral, romantic, sexy, sensitive, degenerate and probably a little wacky. If I ever meet the right woman again, I am ready to make a relationship that is very, very happy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writer, editor, journalist, part-time poet and horseplayer par excellence; I'm a voracious reader, watcher, listener, communicator, romantic. . . . Looking for a like-minded woman with passion for good conversation, companionship, adventure and sometimes seclusion. I'm open to love.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at finding the right things for the moment at hand. I'm good at helping other people figure things out and work through problems to get what they want. I'm good at talking, banter, making people laugh. I'm good at observation, analyzing, intuiting, getting to the heart of things. I'm good at rubbing a tense neck. I'm good at making things up on the spot. I'm good at finding the right place to eat. I'm good at making nothing into fun. I house a romantic heart.
The first things people usually notice about me

is my stature. You'll be happy that you will not have to crink your neck looking up at me and will be able to kiss me straight in the face

Middlesex, Up In The Old Hotel, Where Dead Voices Gather, The New Yorker, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Butterfly and the Diving Bell, Two Lovers, W.C. Fields, Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman, Heath Ledger, Jimmy Stewart, Barbara Stanwyck, Laura Linney, Lili Taylor, Samantha Morton, Gena Rowlands, Anita Morris ....

Music: I have more than 1,000 record albums and probably another thousand CDs and a couple stacks of 45s. Wrap your iPod around that! Love, from Bach to Beck (Jeff and, well, Beck). . . the Rolling Stones, the Spaniels, Beach House, all kinds of jazz, punk, world, dub, hard rock, new wave, Louis Armstrong to Vijay Ayer and Paul Motian ... Music is the centerpiece of my home and I love a lazy-day spin for myself and with company.
Food: Oysters, crabs, wine, cheese, chinese food, all Asian food, Italian food (I grew up in an Italian neighborhood and got spoiled) sushi, dumplings, hot soup, fried chicken and fish, mushrooms, lemon meringue pie. I like the highest class food and plain old street food. Will not eat ducks or rabbits but might tolerate you doing it in front of me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. The people I love 2. my Mini Cooper 3. my turntable 4. my glasses 5. mi corazon 6. the horses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I've been changing what i think about. Not letting myself worry anymore so much about the world and its politics. Now, I'm making my little world better. I figure if I'm happier, good things will happen around me. It's working.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing most anything . . . As a freelancer, Friday is just a piece of the week's palate. I'm not structured around the workweek and weekend.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to have the most fun you will ever experience in your whole life. We can give it a shot.
Strong attraction to creativity, subtle humor, banter, sex appeal, music, film. You can make up a day as you go, and it doesn't take a lot of planning.
You're not afraid to meet and let your guard down. You can focus on one man and not be distracted by juggling too many dates. You can relax and let something grow, fast or slow. I am not here casually, and I am going to give you my attention and want that respected.
