I am single, bored, and optimistic.

My Self-Summary

I have recently discovered that the majority of men don't seem too concerned with my ability to construct a grammatically correct sentence but prefer to look at the pictures and then scan the profile for familiar words. So I'll not worry too much about this bit.
I like to think that I'm humorous but then don't we all. I'd say my sense of humour tends towards the cynical. I love music, I'm more crafty than arty and I'm slightly geeky but can pass for normal in polite society.

What I’m doing with my life

Not enough. Too much work and too much TV. This'll change when the better weather comes back (and LOST and Battlestar Gallactica are finished).
I do want to go to more gigs and get out and about more.

I’m really good at

Telling you which 70's rock bands influenced every new song I hear. Guess I spent too much time hanging around with musicians in my formative years. Actually I've just found out that I'm quite good at cooking. I'm planning on getting better too. I'm good at most things I try (except for Guitar Hero which leaves me in a very bad mood).

The first things people usually notice about me

People probably notice me pulling a stupid face or laughing at something inappropriate.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Always reading and my favourites change with my mood. Neil Gaiman, Raymond E Feist, David Mitchell. Recently read Russell Brand's Booky Wook and have been mildly obsessed since.

Withnail and I, Donnie Darko, LOTR, Spirited Away.
My ipod seems to feature lots of dead musicians but I am open to new suggestions.
Jeff Buckley, Zeppelin, Stones, Kinks, Raconteurs, Beck.....

The six things I could never do without

car, ipod, my bath, a good book, friends, family
Probably not in that order but can't imagine a week without any of them.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How the hell OK cupid decided on my personality awards. I don't think I quite agree. I'm not sure how those questions became important to me either. They may be a bit misleading.

This week I've spent most of my time thinking about Hugh Jackman. There seems to be enormous posters of him everywhere at the moment. Very distracting when you are driving. I'll probably crash the car when Wolverine comes out

On a typical Friday night I am

Desperately trying to convince my married friends that they should come to the pub with me and then spending the rest of the night trying to find something we still have in common. Okay that was just last week. Not that I'm bitter.
Usually visiting folk, drinking or chilling out after a hard week. Trying to learn when to stop drinking on a Friday night though so that I am not paying for it on Saturday.

You should message me if

You are interesting and up for a laugh.
