My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I find it really odd that I have to put this on here, but NO, I AM NOT INTO YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND/BOYFRIEND. If you are a couple looking for a threesome, keep right on going, right off my page. I am not interested. If I could underline this and bold it, I would.
I'm a private teacher who will be opening a business within the next 6 months. I like to read (mostly sci-fi), play the guitar/bass/drums/sing, hike or go for walks, travel and cook. I'm very outgoing and like to have a good time. I also just answered the never ending questionnaire, so you can check it out.
EDIT: A friend recently saw this profile and told me that this doesn't really sell me very well. Hmmm what to add? I speak 5 languages and can play 7 instruments. I am cultured and exceptionally well educated, holding numerous advanced degrees. I can sit quietly for hours, if I'm entertained, but if I'm not, I'm rarely silent. I make up little songs about everything, though I mostly keep them to myself. I took culinary classes a few years ago, so I can cook like a chef. I have a bucket list of things I want to try/see in my life and have gotten through quite a lot of them already (I've been to Rome, touched the Pyramids in Giza, stood in the middle of Stonehenge, been to the top of the Eiffel Tower, seen the Aurora Borealis in Alaska, lived in Europe and the Caribbean, gone diving in Hawaii, and jumped out of a perfectly good airplane). I have a soft spot for animals with disabilities and have thus ended up with a one eyed cat, a blind cat and a three legged dog. I love teaching, but I find the American school system, and the attitude of most of the parents that I work for, to be quite frustrating. I don't play many video games since I mostly shoot me feet or other good guys, but I excel at racing games and strategy games like Civilization, and I love Karaoke games and Rock Band. I'm exceptionally loyal. For instance, my ex-wife is ill and I am helping to take care of her because even though our romantic relationship did not work out, that does not mean that I should just drop her in her time of need. I also still have friends that I talk to on a regular basis from grade school.
Hopefully this fleshes me out a little more
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a private teacher, which makes me self-employed, but in the next few months, I'm going to open a new business that has the potential to be very lucrative.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
hmmm taking care of others, anything musical, cooking, anything intellectual and explaining things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm very confident. People always assume I'm in charge even if they haven't met me and I'm doing nothing to foster that opinion.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love Chinese food (both American and Chinese), Thai, Italian and American. My favorite book is Dune by Frank Herbert, but I'm currently in love with with the Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison. By favorite show, I'm assuming they mean tv, so currently it's "Castle", though that changes frequently. Before that, it was the UK version of "Being Human", though I'm annoyed that all of the main actors left the show. I've recently discovered a love of "Lost Girl". I also love "Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother", but I don't get to see new eps as I only have Hulu and Netflix and CBS doesn't seem to like them. If they mean Broadway, then Phantom or Les Mis or Once. I have very eclectic tastes when it comes music so it ranges from Pachobel's Canon in D to Matchbox Twenty or the LongPigs or Weezer. For movies, I like romantic comedies, action and musicals so..."When Harry Met Sally", "Music and Lyrics", "Chicago", "The Matrix", "The Princess Bride", "Pirates of the Caribbean" (incidentally, also my favorite ride at Disney), "Sherlock Holmes", "Underworld", Christopher Nolan's movies.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee, chocolate, entertainment. That's about it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whenever I'm here, I wonder about the whole enemy thing. What do they mean by enemy? Like duel at sunrise? What exactly is this website setting us up to do? If it's taking over the world, I could be down with that.
I also wonder about all of the tests offered. Who are these test makers and how do we know that they actually know what they're talking about? I've taken a few tests that seem completely correct and a few others (intellectual ones) that have either ambiguous answers or the writer chose incorrect ones. Is someone policing these things? Think of all the misinformation they're disseminating. Is that the deal with the enemies thing; we're to join forces and make ridiculously incorrect tests just to screw with the minds of others.
Or I have too much time on my hands and thought way too much about this.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Unfortunately working, as I teach until 9 most Friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmmm perhaps I should look up the definition of private.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a good sense of humor and would like to chat.
I want to add that I don't attack people for messaging me (except for couples looking for a threesome because read people), so just drop me a note.
