My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, since the entire world may be reading this, it would be best to be a little generic. Let me see, I have had many jobs. I have worked since I was 16. I worked in a liquor store, hardware store, I was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and guarded American Embassies in Djakarta and Panama City, Panama.
I worked as a truck driver (less that one year.) Although I only have a 2 year AA degree I actually have 6 years of formal education. I have worked as a Private Investigator and as a sworn policeman. There, I mainly worked a street narcotic suppression unit. I have worked a law clerk. In that capacity, I worked for Defense and liability Attorney's.

Character matters. What does the person do when others are not looking? Does a person offer help to those who are less fortunate. I don't believe that there are great people, only great challenges which we are forced by circumstance to meet and overcome. It is easy to overlook the flaws that each of us has, when they enjoy helping others who have far less. On 12-3-12 I have put in a few more pictures since someone suggested that I might be part of the witness protection program because of the distant photo.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am just taking it easy and working on retirement
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making others laugh. Listening. Telling stories. I keep reading in other summaries that have been posted: "I don't want to hear any drama." I really don't understand what in the world people mean by that. Life is full of drama. I suppose if you like talking to someone, what is drama to one person is an interesting story to another. I have worked in occupations where listening is really important.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
From a distance, the first thing people notice about me is my service animal (discussed below) A dog named Sam. A German Shepherd. That I am approachable and very friendly. I have the temperament of a sober judge. Obviously, civil discourse is mandatory.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: W. Somerset Maugham, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Frederick Forsyth, Henry Kissinger: The White House Years

Movies: The English Patient, Scent of a Woman, Tyrone Power in "Ill Never Forget You" Glen Ford in "Mr. Soft Touch" Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Immortal Beloved, The Agony and the Ecstasy, The Illusionist (great movie) and "I Am Legend" starring Will Smith. In fact, my Dog Sam was named after, and looks exactly like, the dog in I am Legend.

Music: ELO, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, Eric Clapton. Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks (wow) and Janis Joplin.

Food: I am a culinary quadriplegic but I do like Italian food and anything on the hoof. I don't eat anything that swims or crawls sideways
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My Service Animal, a dog named Sam (German Shepherd)
2. Baseball (Yankees)
3. Staying in contact with friends scattered across the country
4. Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Arnold Schwartenegger Movies and, of course, William Shatner's Star Trek (TV & Movies)
5. My sister
6. Rib Eye Steaks
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Current events. What motivate people to do good. The power of prayer. I know of an interesting story about rows of corn planted in the same soil with seeds that came from same package. Corn was watered from the same source. One row was cursed and damned and the other row of corn was prayed over. The cursed row withered and died. The row that was prayed over grew strong. I suppose I think about whether I will grow old alone.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I read, take the dog for a walk and watch a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am addicted to Baseball and Zombie movies (i.e. The Walking Dead on AMC) Simply put, if I had three people like my ex-wife, I could destroy the world because she is a weapon of mass destruction.

If you just want to E-Mail. I am moving to either Chico, Roseville or Fair Oaks. I have been delayed and expect to relocate in June 2014. I am really kind of rusty at Social Skills. I will let the natural course of things dictate what happens next.
