I'm a young teacher back teaching in the state I grew up in. I'm not entirely sure what I am looking to teach for the rest of my life, but I am definitely sure I want to be teaching. I would describe myself as always having something to say, annoyingly witty, and clever to the point of getting slapped senseless. If you do not like humor, appropriate and inappropriate at appropriate and inappropriate times, move on. Otherwise, read on and have your mind melt.

I am teaching in Hartford and planning to go to graduate school in history. Also, traveling as much as I can; I love traveling (over forty countries and all fifty states). Planning on getting a dual Masters in Education and History (military/diplomatic) and pursuing a Ph.D. in History as well.

Random things: playing the cello, fencing, ballroom dancing, arguing for no reason, and walking around as slowly as a person five times my age. Also, kinda good at MTG. If you know what that is, bring it on.

I coordinate the clothes I wear (often argyle). It's the remnant of going to a prep school (unpleasant experience).

Music: anything techno/electric, Bach, Beethoven (definitely not Mozart), Glee.

Food: anything that doesn't look like I can still name it, anything I can learn to cook, anything I haven't tried when I travel. Anything by Jim Butcher, Robert Jordan, J.R.R. Tolkien, MTG, Starcraft, military and diplomatic history books, biographies, memoirs, etc.
