I'm pretty happy with life. My children are grown and mostly moved out. I love work but am planning a career move in the next couple of months. I live in the best spot in Seattle.
I raised my kids by myself and have just launched my son into college. I'm beginning a whole new phase of life. It would be great to have someone to share that with.
I love living in Seattle. I feel fortunate to be here every day. Among the things I love are listening to live music, going to galleries, shows, museums, theatre, symphony (sometimes I get free tickets!) I like independent films: the Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson. The last film I saw that I thought was wonderful was The Wrestler.
I do need to get out of the city now and then. I like to horse back ride. i would love to be more aquatic but I grew up in a very dry place so I'm challenged, but teachable.
I've lived here quite awhile and am fortunate to have good friends and much of my small family around. Anyone meeting "the family", must have a high tolerance for weird.
I work a lot and love what I do--medical research in underserved populations in Seattle. I'll be leaving my current job soon and moving on to something unspecified so anything could happen next--which is always a good thing.
