My self-summary Propose an edit

I absolutely hate doing these things and am never quite sure what to say.

I followed the guys from thespark over here mainly for the tests, but then it seemed like it would be fun to get to know some people, so here I am trying to sum myself up in a few paragraphs.

Hmmmm...I love to read, enjoy debate (especially theology) and am usually pretty quiet, unless I get excited about something and I get excited pretty easily sometimes...so I guess I'm not all that quiet.

I majored in literature and am a complete book nerd - mainly fantasy right now, but that changes over time - kinda like your favorite foods will change once you try something new and different.

I work too much, smoke too much, eat too much - practicing moderation is not one of my strong points, but its on my 'to do' list.

I think I'm a pretty likable person. Most people say so anyway. I'm the type everyone tells their secrets to, and I've never really figured out why that is.

Right now okcupid is telling me to expand my profile essays, but I'm not really sure what else to say. More about myself...You know, if someone would ask me questions this would be easier. Lets see…I'm incredibly liberal, which I think makes me a better American rather than an ungrateful one as many conservatives believe, I'm forgiving and helpful to a fault, naturally submissive. I'm attracted to more dominant people as long as there is intelligence to go with it.

I believe in God, but would never claim or attempt to speak or judge for Him. My goal in life is to make myself an expression of His love and don't believe He's nearly as hard on us as fundamentalist would have us believe.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I work in fund raising and development and this great non-profit indy cinema/theatre.

I've just started volunteering at the Animal Protection Society of Durham and I love it! Don't buy pets, adopt them. Always spay and neuter. Always. No matter what. There's too many homeless pets out there to breed.

Lets see, more about what I’m doing with my life…

Well, I work in fund raising, which means I ask people to give me money. I do this by writing grants, solicitation letters, planning fund raising events and auctions and any other way I can think of. I enjoy my job, but would like to be able to focus more on grant writing and research (remember I told you I was a dork).

My volunteer job at APS is like my break from real life. I get to go in every weekend and play with these amazing cats, who want nothing more than a break from their cage and to be loved. Seriously, if you ever want a pet, go to a shelter. They have the best animals there and you will have the satisfaction of knowing you're saving a life.

I'm really good at Propose an edit

Lots of things and nothing really. I'm great at analyzing literature, wasting time,page design, research, goofing off, talking too much (but only sometimes) and all kinds of other stuff. Just get to know me.
