I'm an upbeat guy who has been in San Francisco for 12 years and still loves it. I like to make people laugh but I find it works best the more I know about a person. I feel like its just as important to be active as it is to take a day off and relax, though I often find it hard to stay in for too long.

I work in software but my passion extend beyond work. I've been climbing once or twice a week for over a year now. I work on art projects when an idea seems too interesting not to create. I enjoy photography but it comes in waves. Speaking of waves, I like to surf, but putting on the wet suit just to get in the water kinda gets me down so I haven't been out much. I enjoy travelling and I'm still trying to perfect the balance between seeing "important" things and letting myself wander to find my own unique experiences.

I'm good at picking up new skills, following through on things and listening.

I would love to know this myself! I'm tall so I know most people notice that. Also, dimples. I like finding out new things about people when I meet them so hopefully they notice that I'm attentive.

I've been on a non-fiction gentleman's crime kick lately; "Priceless" about the Antwerp diamond theft, "Caveat Emptor" about a very successful art forger in New York. In fiction, I've read almost all Haruki Murakami's books, recently 1Q84.

The last movie I really enjoyed was "Beasts of the Southern Wild." Its a sign of a good movie when I can't stop thinking about it for the few days afterward.

For music, I really didn't like Beach House at first but now its on constant rotation. Jens Lekman, The XX, Cut Copy, Royksopp; I'm a sucker for something poppy but interesting and good lyrics.

I love cajun food, though I don't eat most meat. As a 'pescaterian' I do enjoy blackened catfish and shrimp jambalaya. Sushi and Japanese cuisine are great as well. Really, if its prepared well, I will try it. I'm not into junk food.

...what to make next. I work with software all day, so in my time off I really enjoy creating something real. I've conceived and constructed multimedia installation art for an outdoor summer festival for the past two years. Last Christmas I made my friends a multicolor nightlight kit they could build themselves. I've been taking metal working classes at TechShop and have ideas for something involving a bicycle or a terrarium ... maybe both?

... you like adventure and you're not afraid to try new things. You're active socially and physically. You're quick witted and know how to make a joke. You aren't necessarily a fashion designer but you have style and know what looks good on you. You'll tell me with words, not actions, when something bothers or concerns you. You expect the same things from me.
