My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am an endangered species...

...a Seattleite from Seattle! And because stereotypes exist for a reason, I enjoy:

• Hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing.
• Buying music from local record stores and going to live shows.
• Holing up in coffee shops with a book.

• Good food. And finding new places that serve good food.
• Exploring places off the beaten path.
• Summertime swimming in Lake Washington and longboarding at Alki...basically reliving the glory days of going of school in SoCal (minus the smog).
• Convincing myself that the people-watching is worth the Hill rent premium.
• Showing people around the city and pointing out random trivia, history, and urban ephemera that most people don't care to notice and/or know about.

I am looking for a partner in crime to partake in the above who doesn't mind the food snob and slight OCD in me (rating all 4,000+ of your songs in iTunes is only slightly OCD, right?). And if we click, graduating to making good use of my Netflix subscription and quality snuggling time!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living car-free on Cap Hill...and commuting an hour to a job outside the city.

I currently work as an urban planner and plan on doing a bit of traveling sometime in the near future. Next stop: South America.

I'll go back for graduate school some day, but until I decide whether I want a career that involves less soul-selling and less money or more soul-selling and more money, that isn't happening anytime soon.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• Directions
• Trying new things
• Cooking
• Making people think I'm better than I actually am at playing piano
• Looking at signs and figuring out whether it's in Helvetica or Arial
• Harmonizing with household appliances
• Responding to texts, always (even if not immediately)
• Telling myself that 5-10 minutes late is actually on-time
• Savoring my food (i.e. eating really slowly)
• Self-deprecating humor
