My self-summary
I work too much, love to cook, and miss the south. I like rollercoasters and I grew up on a watermelon farm. Gonna put it out there that I have a Wings poster on my bedroom wall, just in case that's a dealbreaker. I'm sarcastic and I love my friends. I don't have any cats but am a pretty huge fan. UPDATE: I have three Wings posters on my bedroom walls. Not my fault but also completely and totally my fault.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in the music industry, and my job takes up a lot of my time. When I'm not at the office, I'm at a show. When I'm not at a show or at the office, I'm at home, hopefully playing Settlers of Cattan and drinking wine. When I'm not at any of those places, I'm probably in a cab. I don't define myself or my sexuality as queer or femme or gay or bi or whatever - I never have and can't see that I ever will. I've had girlfriends all my life, and I've had boyfriends all my life. Some of them were equally terrible, some were equally great.
I’m really good at
scaring people with my overshare of trivial knowledge, making pies, cheering people up, and reading books 3/4 of the way through.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair is pink, I'm chubby, my nail polish is almost always chipped and my bangs are generally crooked. I have a loud laugh. Terminally chill.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have read The Moviegoer more times than I have watched Seinfeld, (trying to reach a better balance). I love Michelle Tea and Lynda Barry and Love & Rockets. My favorite Modern Lovers song is "Hospital," and I hate tomatoes. I make a really good gumbo. I dance around a lot to Altered Images or Sparks or Arthur Russell or sometimes I just lay in bed and listen to Songs: Ohia. Play "No. 1 Song In Heaven" at my wedding and my funeral. I could stare at Gary Panter's drawings all day long. I occasionally wonder what it would've been like to hang out with Pete Ham or Chris Bell. I know far more than I should about Corey/Corey movies, and I cry every time I watch L'Avventura. Going through a weird phase where I only want to listen to Gerry Rafferty and Peter Frampton. Trying to get into Game of Thrones and failing. Don't tell anyone.
The six things I could never do without
weekends, Chapstick, my sisters, daydreams, iced tea & music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my Chapstick addiction
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I get mildly uncomfortable around pretty people & most of my pants have holes in the crotch.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 25–36
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
if you like dancing, the idea of watching me try to knit hats for small animals that I don't own, record sharing, your mom's cooking, Johnny Ramone's guitars, front porches, and tacos. If you're nice. If you want to get a drink and talk about music. If you hate your neighbors that blare Mumford & Sons, too. If you miss the south. If you're from the south. If you'll go to the cheese shop with me. If when you hear the song "Total Eclipse of the Heart", you sing the Wedding Crashers version. If you miss Chris Farley. If you want to drive out of the city for the day. If you want to drive out of the city for the weekend. If you want to sing along to "Game of Pricks" with the windows down. If you have it together enough to appreciate the moments when someone doesn't. If you can see love in lots of things. If you want to sleep in the same sleeping bag.
