My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey there, stay awhile and enjoy my page, why don't you? It's so difficult to sum up everything that I am into a single diminutive paragraph, so instead I'll just list the random things I love and hope they match up with of the random things you love.

- My two rescue dogs. They're needy and energetic and sometimes too smart for their own good, but they're also fiercely loyal and could and could have broken Hitler with cuteness. (Great, now my profile is going to turn up for everyone searching for Hitler on okcupid).
- Friday nights at the Top. Hands down my favorite bar in town. Plus foosball. Oh yeah.
- Dark beers. The stoutier and manlier the better.
- Football. Pro? Sure. College? Even better. Saturdays at my house usually feature a three TV set up and a fair amount of crazy yelling.
- Netflix. Hulu. All of it. I’m a junkie. I ain’t ashamed.
- Muzak. Pretentious indie bands. Over-the-top heavy metal. Oh-no-The-machines-are-coming dubstep. The Beatles. I love it all.
- Really good, intellectual conversations. Preferably w/ beers.
- Team trivia. Our group the Minesweepers are kiiind of a big thing (no, not really). We win A LOT (we don’t). Combine with any of the above and you’ve got a really good time (fact).
- Daily Show/Colbert. Need my dose of daily truthiness.
- Running through campus. Because I like to exercise, not because I'm late for anything.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just finished up my Masters in physics at UF and now I'm in the PhD program of the computer science department. I've realized that my only shot at world domination will occur if I'm able to build my doomsday device myself. :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Teaching and breaking things down so my students can understand it. It's definitely one of my passions. People tell me I'm decent at the maths, too, though there's nothing like being in graduate school to make you feel like you know absolutely nothing there is to know about anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is how over the top and what I goofball I can be.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I run the risk of running out of room here. Really good culture (books, movies, music, and food) is my biggest weakness.

Movies: It's the big trilogies that get me going the most: The Godfather, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (original trilogy), Back to the Future, and Indiana Jones. I'm not ashamed to say that I love just about anything Disney and/or Pixar. I was raised on that stuff and really really good animation in general. Some of my other unbridled favorites are Fight Club, Snatch, Braveheart, The Patriot, Inception, The Prestige, The Matrix, The Mummy, The Dark Knight, Superbad, Inglourious Basterds, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Pulp Fiction, all Monty Python, and just about everything early Jim Carrey (especially Dumb and Dumber).

TV: There's no questioning that Arrested Development is the greatest show to ever exist (If you disagree, I'd love to debate you on it). I've recently discovered Community and Breaking Bad that are both amazing shows. Classic favorites include It's Always Sunny, The Simpsons, Futurama, Tosh.O, South Park, The Shield, The Sopranos, Seinfeld, and How I Met Your Mother.

Music: God, I listen to just about everything that isn't hip-hop or country. Rush, Metallica, Billy Joel, Iron Maiden, Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, Styx, Foo Fighters, The Rocket Summer, Coheed and Cambria, Bob Dylan, Dropkick Murphys, Anti-Flag, Pink Floyd, Ayreon, Dream Theater, Elton John, Yes, The Beatles, Bayside, The Decemberists....

Books: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Dune, Harry Potter (yeah, and they're pretty good, too), The Count of Monte Cristo, 1984, Watchmen, Crime and Punishment, Freakonomics, anything by Dean Koontz or Dr. Seuss, The Lord of the Rings, poetry by Robert Frost or TS Elliot, and really interesting math and philosophy books (yeah, they do exist).

Food: Evvverything.....except Indian food. Gah. Seafood or a really good steak are probably my favorites.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Meh, I already made a list above.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend too much time thinking about the things I'm not doing and probably should be doing. I want to travel the world, learn new languages, learn different instruments, read all the classics, etc. I'm always in a state of trying to better myself and thinking about the next hurdle to jump over. Sometimes this unfortunately results in more thinking than doing, so I'm thinking reeeeal hard about trying to change that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't think I've had a typical Friday night in the last 6 months. I could be traveling somewhere since I love taking road trips and that's prime time at the start of the weekend. Movies come out on Fridays, so I might be checking out whatever's in theaters. Could be board-gaming or video-gaming at a friend's house. The bar scene is pretty good on a Friday and there's a good chance I'll be downing some brew downtown or at midtown. And if there's really absolutely positively nothing to do and I'm swamped in school, you may even find me studying or grading. :(

your idea of a solid guy is the exact opposite of The Situation (this reference is so outdated, but I love it so much I can't bring myself to change it).
