My self-summary
Hi, I'm Dan. I just moved to Rancho Cucamonga from Huntington Beach to start a new career, so I'm trying to meet some people in the area.

Sports are really important to me. My favorite teams are the LA Angels of Anaheim (Still pissed they changed their city), LA Lakers, Anaheim Ducks and Tampa Bay Bucs. I also have season USC football tickets, mainly because UCSB didn't have a football team.

Just like most guys in their twenties, I like craft beer. I'm not really a beer snob at all, but IPA's have a special place in my heart. I just started getting into wine recently, and I am a pretty big fan of a good Pinot Noir. Sideways definitely had an impact on this.

The gym is kind of my sanctuary. It's one of my favorite things to do after a stressful day at work. Once you see my "What I'm Doing With My Life" section, you might understand why.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for a non-profit in the medical field. Basically, I am a liaison between multiple hospitals and my company to ensure that we are doing our best to help save the lives of people who need organ transplants. I work on the business side, so I'm not the one who does anything actually related to clinical aspect of what my company does, but it feels good to know that what I do every day is actually helping people.

I've recently really gotten into long distance running. I was never really that into running when I was younger, but I realized how beneficial it can be for your long term health, as well as the fact it gives you a lot of time to think. I tend to run a lot more when I'm between seasons of my favorite tv shows.
I’m really good at
Quoting random movies and tv shows (Seinfeld especially)
Finding good music on Spotify
Making conversation with random strangers.
Making lists
The first things people usually notice about me
They probably notice that I am always trying to crack jokes. Some are good, some are not so good, but I always give it my best shot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I honestly don't read that much, but I am going to try to change that now that I have a Kindle. Some of my favorites are Freakonomics, the Great Gatsby, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell (I know, I'm so academic), Adam Carolla's book "In 50 Years, We'll All Be Chicks"

My favorite movie of all time is Goodfellas. I have watched it too many times to count. Some other favorites in no particular order are The Big Lebowski, American History X, The Karate Kid (nostalgia factor is off the charts), Braveheart, Forrest Gump, Stand By Me, Happy Gilmore, The Sandlot, Wayne's World, Green Street Hooligans, Night At the Roxbury, Superbad and Super Troopers

Some of my favorite shows are Workaholics, Dexter, Seinfeld, The Wire, The Sopranos, True Blood, Californication, Mad Men, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Friday Night Lights, Entourage, Boardwalk Empire, Shameless and Breaking Bad and House Hunters so I can see that $400,000 in the rest of the country can get me a mansion instead of a 1 bedroom condo .

My favorite bands/artists include the Expendables, Rebelution, Drake, Childish Gambino, Kanye West, Eli Young Band, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Chris Young, Justin Moore, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, Dierks Bentley,Band Perry, Fall Out Boy, Pepper, Jack's Mannequin, Something Corporate, Jack Johnson, Tiesto, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Gareth Emery and far too many others for me to list.

I am a big fan of Italian food, but I am open to pretty much anything other than sushi.
The six things I could never do without
Everyone says family and friends, so I'm going to list the non-obvious answers.

1. Spotify. It is so great to be able to type in any song or artist and be able to listen to that song in seconds. Well worth the ten bucks a month.

2. DVR. I'll admit it, I'm a tv junkie. I also don't have a ton of time for tv though, so I have to record everything and save it for when I can fit it in.

3. My memory foam mattress topper. I never knew how crucial this was until I got one. Now I am so sad every time I have to sleep at someones place or in a hotel bed without one.

4. My iPhone. I could probably do without a laptop, but having all the information in the world in your pocket is invaluable.

5. Sports. There is nothing better than a Sunday filled with football, a day game at the ball park, or watching Kobe do work.

6. Working out. It's a really great way to let off some steam while improving yourself.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future. There are so many things I want to accomplish and I am always thinking of new things I want to try.

How people who work at Disneyland are always so happy (or at least do a very good job pretending). I know that my job is often a lot easier than theirs, and there is no way I could stay smiling 100% of the time.

Why some people spend more money on rims or stereo equipment for their cars than the actual car itself. I love having a nice stereo too, but it still seems ridiculous to me.

Why so many people hate country music. I know it's the trendy thing to do, but the genre is so big that I find it really hard to believe that someone could hate all of it.
On a typical Friday night I am
It really depends on how my work week went. Most of the time, I'm out with friends somewhere. If it's out in Rancho, I'll probably be at Toby Keith's, but most of the time I'll be in Orange County or LA. I also take a lot of road trips to Santa Barbara and San Diego for the weekend. If the work week was really long though, I might stay in and see what my DVR has to offer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like to rap battle when I've had a few. It's a lot better than fighting people and it keeps my vocabulary up to snuff.
